I left for some work when it was 8-0. Unreal they blew that lead but still won.

Ya this is the 2004 cubs all over again. HR or nothing.

My mistake in investing too much time this year w/ the Cubs. Last year I causally followed them thru the year and then got into it big time in the playoffs.

This year too much emotional investment for me. I should have relearned how to try to be a sane Cubs fan again. Well it's too late, I'm all in this year.

First, what a shit strike zone last night.

Yeah, they hit a lot of home runs. So is the rest of the league. Not sure why people are surprised. Launch angles!

I'm not going to defend Maddon on this one. That said, this bullpen scares the daylights out of me. IF they make the playoffs, expect Wade Davis to pitch every game from the fourth inning on.

In a playoff series, Montgomery will only be asked to pitch once through a lineup, if that. He seems to be getting wrecked the second time through, which is why he's more suited to be a reliever.

Grimm has been the best bullpen arm for the last two months (besides Davis) and ya'll want to murder him after the recent bad outing. He has been great in this current callup.
