Will be a story about the Manson Family murders.

First time making a movie about a true story.

Rumors he wants Margot Robbie to play Sharon Tate, and Brad Pitt as a detective investigating the murders.

we do not need another retelling of the Manson family murders. this has been done to death, literally. and it's just a bit too grisly to be given the cool treatment. this was a harrowing story, and brutally tragic.

there's nothing more to learn from the murder. tarantino can't add anything except his brand, which doesn't belong here.

What Zack said.

I just don't get the lingering fascination

Tarantino last two movies have not been great.

I liked Hateful Eight better than Django Unchained, but was the scene with the Samuel Jackson character getting blown by the son of the confederate general (Bruce Dern) really necessary? Very sadist, showing Tarantino has a warped, perverted mind. The angle with the Abraham Lincoln letter, though, was neat.

I don't know how anyone could really like Django Unchained with all the violence. Christoph Waltz was great, but for him to have been in this movie was a waste of his talent. On the other hand, I think it was Di Caprio's best acting performance.

I have been looking forward to a Basterds prequel, but it hasn't happened and probably won't now.

So much time has passed now since the Manson murders that it's passe. Manson really wasn't that interesting to begin with. He was an acid freak, who brainwashed people also on drugs.

I would agree ... but then I considered the potential for the dialogue to be quite something.

Agreed. The only thing that interested me was Bret Easton Ellis / Rob Zombie project on the Manson murders. Simply because it was about the murders and his LA shifted into a free open place to the fear left in the wake. It got canceled because of oversaturation.
