i watched it again tonight. not to gain anything new, just to revel in some of the really good scenes: the opener, obviously. the scene with jon and sansa. thoros and clegane. and, ok ed sheeran, but those soldiers were fun to share a scene with.

is this the first episode that tyrion was in where he didn't say a word?

Arya and the young girl from bear island are great actors, I hate Sansa and Dany. I think Snow and Meera are brother n sister, same age, look like twins.


How did the giant end up in the dead army? He walked away with snow from hardhome and went to the wall.

Mance's army that attacked the wall had several giants. Some seem to have scattered after Stannis routed the army. Wan-wan was the giant who sided with John and died attacking Winterfell.

It's safe to assume there might have been other giants at Hardhome who didn't make it out or deserters from Mance's army that ran into the horde.

Sanaa's storylines have usually been pretty weak but I liked her in this episode. "I learned a great deal from her" was a pretty interesting line. But if it's followed up by Sansa trying to act like her this season it'll just be a throwaway line and she will still be a weak link on the show.

I've found Sansa pretty unlikable from the beginning. Just find almost everything about her aggravating and it is extends to anywhere I see the actress who plays her. I admit it's irrational but whatever. Don't like her.

Was not being played. Her agenda would have fit with Balish, but that was coincidental. It is also hard to say she is wrong because both tactics have merits. Snow handled it in an old school way it I think Sansa has a strong point this is a new kingdom and those lotta need to be rewarded, not the ones grandfathered in and stepped against you. Neither tactic is wrong but which tactic gets you more mileage?

sansa's made a few references now to "knowing" enemies like ramsay and cersei. it definitely seems to point to her using some of those tactics. but i don't think she full on becomes them.

i think her character reflects the books' version of her well, and i hated her in the beginning but grew to be sympathetic. same way for me in the show. i think they cast her perfectly too.

I was looking up Robert Baratheon, and saw his grandmother is a Targaryen. So, maybe Gendry is the 3rd Targaryen to ride a dragon? Snow, Dany, and Gendry.

Maybe in the books. He hasn't been on the show since season 2 or 3 I think.

I've been watching a few videos(none have said this). One said, the last Targaryen's to ride dragons were Aegon and his 2 sister wives(who were brother and sisters).

Gendry and Bran are extremely weak characters. It's bad enough one will be very prominent by the end. It'd be annoying if both were

Jaime is going to kill Cersei.

Also, I think there is going to be some sort of heel turn for Jon. He's humble because he thinks he's a bastatrd, but once he finds out that he has royal blood in him, I think his philosophy on life will change. I also see a feud with him and Bran starting if Bran makes it down to Winterfell. Technically Bran should be the rightful king of the north, so Jon might need to take care of Bran to hold his power.
