Stupid. As long as mayo is part of a "standard build" in burgers and sandwiches, I will be making modifications until the day I die.

no not something like that, we're talking about something like saying 'no sauerkraut' on a reuben.

i'm saying a "chicago dog" clearly has a standard build.

Eat your fuckin' hot dog however you want, but adding ketchup to the standard Chicago condiments throws the balance of the recipe off. But so does a jumbo dog. I never order a jumbo. The meat-condiment ratio is all wrong.

A "Reuben without sauerkraut" is not a Reuben. It's a corned beef sandwich with cheese and Thousand Island dressing.

You don't have to stick the whole thing in your mouth at once. Unless, that's how you like it.

A Chicago dog already has relish. There is no need for more sweetness from the ketchup.

We've got a place by me that does a buffalo chicken and BBQ chicken pizza. It's the perfect amount of sauce for both. Basically the chicken is just covered in it and then thrown on the dough. They don't use it in place of regular sauce so it isnt overpowering.
