Why would you want to move him?

I think he's maybe trying to solve the Schwarber problem. I think a lot would agree that Schwarber in LF and at the plate is a problem, but the solution doesn't have anything to do with Contreras, and has everything to do with Schwarber keeping the bench from flying away and any number of Happ, Zobrist, Baez, Almora, Jay, or Bryant in LF.

The Cubs finally get a great, young catcher that makes up for many of the Cubs' starting pitchers' deficiencies and might have the best bat in the National League and you want to move him to left? Willson is at the top percentile of catchers you'd want right now...as a LF he'd just be one of many decent .280 BA / .800 OPS options.

Just like an .800 OPS shortstop is a huge asset but an .800 OPS 1B can be upgraded.
