Javier Baez was a major cog in the 2016 post season run. Without him we don't even make it past the 1st round. And even if he flames out going forward, I will forever look upon his Cubdom favorably.

Baez is fine. Best thing about last night's 4 for 4 was 2 of the hits went to right field. When he stays on the ball on the outer half and takes it to right as he did on the triple, it is likely he's going to have a nice stretch. He just gets in trouble from time to time trying to pull everything. He pulls his head out and sometimes takes a while to get back on track. But he seems to have worked things out and hopefully will continue this trend. Man, he's fun to watch. Same with Contreras. Both of them have so much love for the game and play with so much energy and spirit.

I hate it when Sox fans are right! :)

Baez & Contreras are fun to watch on some levels...but they both still have a whole-lotta-stupid in their game too.

You know that is not true.

CoF lives in a dream world where he thinks he is the only one who is able to see certain things.

He did the same thing with Noah.

And the crazy thing is no matter what happens with Baez he will be riding this horse.

If Baez proves to be a good major league player he will still find certain things to complain about.

If Baez proves to be a failure he will be here proclaiming himself as the only one who had any concerns about him

There is a thread here somewhere where CoF bitched about Javy Baez not being clutch. There are literally 400 things to bag on Baez for, and being clutch is not on that list. They would not have won it all last year without him.

you people need to calm down. it's just a message board. the purpose of the board is to shoot the breeze and decompress from everyday life.

Correct name is nice every once in a while just for clarity. Ryan Sandburg or Kyle Ortman ring a bell.

He always was a great defender. The only ones who didn't recognize were baseball morons and beta male cucks.

He is def great at making the highlight reel plays like last night.

But he struggles at times with the routine.

But in the end CofF does not like him so that is all that really matters

Baez at SS and Russell at 2B is the future. Javy looks like a natural SS. Russell doesn't have the arm.

I'm glad getting Addison Russell didn't cost much.

Yeah, but he's no Yoan Moncada.
Moncada and the White Sox are what the entire baseball world just can't stop talking about!
