Very nice! Great classic college-50s-horror homage with some excellent lines. Tom Atkins was indeed good in this one.

Plus, the main character has a hot sister in real life, the sidekick has an interesting though unexplained disability, and Atkins thankfully does not appear naked in this one.

When I watched that film again in about 1993 (I first saw it in '88, during my senior year of high school), I hadn't remembered any of the references to 50s sci-fi and horror and so was pleasantly surprised. Such a fun film.

To stave off the inevitable: No, I don't care what IMU said or implied about Chus' kid as it pertains to this. Don't equivocate, deal with the issue in front of you, which is an unrepentant board member dancing around doxxing someone again after you shrugged off the first incident. Chas' posting history doesn't make this shit acceptable.

If anyone's innerested, here's my take from the evening.

I, being an idiot, either didn't know or didn't recall anything re: Chus' son being anything other than a typical kid (I don't know how else to frame it ... he is a regular kid ... you know what I mean). Anyway, my observation was he was having fun and, while I certainly would've preferred to have watched the game(s) with slightly less extraneous activity going on - maybe I rolled my eyes once, don't know - it really wasn't much and it really didn't actually bother me and at no time did I think there was anything that would suggest corrective action was in order ... I mean, it's a little kid, plus he seemed to really like his dad and seemed pretty happy so, well, that's awesome.

Anyway, at some point enough time passed wherein I put two and two together and, now having basically smartened myself up, I kinda felt a little bad that I'd even privately wished for a bit more quiet earlier even though I, as I said, really didn't mind it nor did I have quite all the info available to me to possibly have formed a different viewpoint on the matter.

Does that speak directly to the stupidity of the last couple of days? I don't really know. All I know is there was nothing remarkable or memorable about the evening insofar as 'behavior' was concerned.

Incidentally, just to stave off a potential half-dozen or so stupid posts in the future, it's not like Chus and I are best pals. We have no beef (afaik), but it's not like we're old chums and I'm just obliquely sticking up for him because there's some connection or something like that or b/c 'fuck IMU' or whatever.

Having said all that, I will close with saying that if it wasn't annoying to me ... to ME for chrissakes, I'd be hard fucking pressed to understand how someone else might have been arsed by a kid being a kid, particularly if they knew what the deal was at the time ... never mind mentioning it for any reason in a thread that had nothing to do with the topic whatsoever.

It's also going to be funny to watch Nas and Co. pretend this isn't Chus getting pretty close to doxxing Chas openly on the board...again.

if you like the homage, give this 2001 flick a try: "the lost skeleton of cadavra". it is pretty much exactly a 1950's B horror movie, complete with being shot in black and white and with crappy film production and acting. it's on purpose, so there's a bit of "wink-at-at-the-camera" that normally really bugs me but this is cute enough to forgive.

it was featured on cinemassacre's "monster madness" years ago. "night of the creeps" was also featured on it.
