Just take whitesoxinteractive as a comparison study as it is a place several posters here have mentioned as a place they visit. Do you think the moderators there are any less thin skinned about complaints or oppressive with bannings?

It's fine for you to have your opinions on this. I disagree but that's what opinion is. I don't think it can be supported that I was a supporter of bigfan and have now turned my back on him since he left, which was your accusation.

Don't you think that bigfan brought a lot his headaches onto himself with his ridiculous postings and the way he moderated? When I say the former, I don't just mean typos and punctuation. bigfan had some really bad thoughts and some boderline (at best) racist thoughts as well. When I say the latter, I mean from about 2009 on.

I think he brought it on himself by being completely permissive but then starting to crack down without rules or a series of penalties before total banning. I don't think he wanted to moderate at all. Then the place started to grow and become unmanageable.

Remember, for a few years here there was a person who posted as bigfag without even a hint of banning.

Partially true. He found a convenient way to delete. A one click type solution. I guess previously it was an arduous process.

The guy is a crook. After seeing Donald Trump move into the big spotlight the past 2 years, it's obvious that bigfan is exactly like him.

Acts like he's the smartest man in the room, when he's usually the dumbest. Needs the adoration of everyone around him, and if there is even the smallest shot taken at him, he goes full on nuclear immediately.

There's been multiple examples of people being screwed out of money from his "contests". And when these winners point out the mistake (and they have to do so delicately because he's an enraged ignoramus), he usually snapped back by banning them for questioning his logic. He would then accuse these people of ruining his contests.

I know most of the contest problems were probably just due to his laziness, but when you welch on paying out won prizes, it speaks to the type of person he actually is. I would assume he runs his business the same way.

BF liked people who he thought was loyal or useful. I think there are some similarities to the president but I wouldn't call him a crook. Some tendencies are needed for survival in some industries.
