I plan on watching this year at least.. Last year was pretty rough and I enjoyed my free Sunday's once the season had spiraled out of control. I'm hoping to waste a few more this year if for nothing else it gives me 3 hours of enjoyment on crappy November days.

That vaunted front 7?
Hicks: good/great
Goldman: good/great for 6 games a year, doesn't play the rest
Jaye Howard: good/great, but something is clearly wrong
Floyd: career is in jeopardy
Freeman: good/great, but over 30
Trevathan: might not play this year, or ever again
McPhee: good/great for 6 games a year, doesn't play the rest

Falcons- Easy W. Falcons are trash with their loser QB, loser coach and loser team. Bears suck too, but not in the same sinister "talented, but..." way Atlanta does.
Bucs- Revenge of the Glennon
Steelers- Roethlisberger will be recovering from a week 1 knee injury.
Packers- Probably a loss, but if there is ever a matchup you want on the randomness of Thursday night it is @Rodgers
Vikings-
Ravens- Is there anyone on the Ravens under age 30?
Panthers- Are terrible
Saints-

Could easily be 7-1, but my realistic prediction is 4-4.

Depends on how they rebound from an 0-8 start.

3-13

I wrote that pre-draft. I don't think anyone saw the Bears spending all their picks on developmental players with little chance of contributing this year.

After Pace Traded up 1 spot against himself, I said I 'd boycott the season.
I have zero interest in the NFL this year.

Saturdays have overtaken Sundays for me the last couple years.

Things might change if the Bears ever put together a competitive team, but I just enjoy the surplus of games to watch each Saturday.

Football will take over my life soon. Fridays I will be watching my son play. Most Saturdays I will be at the stadium watching Pitt and Sunday I will be in front of a tv somewhere. My only regret getting to football season is that it makes the year seem to go to fast toward winter.

I agree when you really invest time into it the Fall season goes by in a blink.

10-6 my friend.

I don't even feel like that was overly optimistic. I think they can win that last game of the year depending on the situation.

I think that's pretty optimistic. Obviously they can win or lose any game, but about half those W's are against better teams.

I've noticed today there's a lot of camp hype around Howard. Leaner and meaner

I am not going to bet it but given better health and a deeper roster this team can be 500.

Either Nas stole gd's login, or gd went out for a liquid lunch today. If everything goes right for this team and a few things go wrong for their opponents, they can maybe go 8-8 at the absolute best.

That first Vikings win is at home on a long week after a Thursday game. That's always a great situation.

At Saints will be a home game for the Bears. Fans always show en masse to NOLA. I think the defense will be humming by that time.

I think the win stacking second half is legitimately possible.

No way they beat Crablegs and the Bucs in Tampa

If preferring Hockey and Baseball makes me a Pansy....so be it.
Year after year, the quality of the NFL product has gotten worse and worse. Defense can't touch people....rules are way beyond complicated. Normally I do follow the Bears but this season will really not offer much and since the overall NFL product is crap, I'm not interested in wasting my Sundays listening to Joe Buck.

Warm Regards.

The Lions sweep was probably the most optimistic thing about the post, imo.

For those that have been closely following training camp, how has the big TE Adam Shannahan looked?

If you read between the lines, I think coaches and administration can barely control their excitement. Fox always dampers expectations and he said Shaheen is better than he thought.

Why are Titties (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and Glennon being coddled? What has Glennon done for there to be no QB competition?

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is not ready. I think they said he'd be 3rd on the depth chart to start the season. Glennon is nothing more than a gap QB, but they have to at least give him the chance they promised before drafting Mitch. Let us not forget the stories about how pissed Glennon was when Pace drafted (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Don't want your free agent QB starter giving up before training camp.

Glennon sounds like a huge va-jay-jay. I heard on M&H an interview he gave to reporters where he said Titties has been handling everything well and he's embraced his role.

I'd cut him for that BS. Who the hell his Mike Glennon to dictate???

I don't think Glennon is dictating. They made everybody's role clear before training camp.

My Man Mitch can sling it in the air with the best of them. But he needs refinement. He will red-shirt this year and that will be fine. Just in time for the Bears to replace Fox this offeason with a Quarterback savant.

Pretty sure that was Pace's plan all along, if he can survive this year.
