Heard a lot of bullshit on the score driving home about the hits just not falling for the Cubs today. Bull. The sox were ripping the tits off Hendricks today. He was bailed by great defense but everything was a hard out. If there was any luck today it was in that the sox weren't up by more

I'm starting to understand why you cubbie fans farted rainbows all these years. You live in an echo chamber where the Jesse Rogers of the world present themselves as experts and feed you lies

have a headahce driving and remembered the Cubs lost which makes it worse. If they won at least it would have eased the pain.

let's get a win tomorrow. i don't care if they're playing the Sox or the Kox. Just win these series and keep up in the division.

I didnt see the game but followed it on these forums and it sounded like dead bats and maybe a letdown after an intense series vs the cards.

Still no excuse. The Sox pitchers seemed to have their way today.

If Rodon throws strikes the sox dominate again

I think Jesse was a great producer. I'm insulted that he is presented to the nation as an expert

In the middle of a race for the division title, the Cubs decided to take a nap in the road today. I make no excuses, they looked sad and uninspired. Did you guys see the pep talk Renteria gave his troops in that 7th inning mound meeting?

He got their attention.

Meanwhile,a new pitcher comes in and Baez is swinging at those sliders like an 8 year old.

Question: A new hitter pinch hits in a game and the pitching coach stops the game to give a pitcher a heads up on the new hitter. Does a hitting coach get to go up to the ondeck guy and give him an update on a new pitcher?

That's Baez. He's not going to change. I've accepted it. Kind of like the DH in left field.

Miguel Gonzalez was a good pitcher this year before his arm started hurting. He is again after returning from injury. There was no nap

He could. But here's what Renteria said to the pitcher when Baez came up : don't throw a strike, he'll swing at everything. And that's what happened.

So because Spiegs all morning and the score in general was blowing their loads about being in first place again by pct points we should expect them to be crying tomorrow? Half game out and one of the special loss column thingys went away.

WTFRU SMOKING? Your guys had lost 9 in a row coming in. The Cubs looked like they just were not interested. Cubs best hitter batting 7th (Jay) while the worst contract in Cubs history was leading off. Reverse that and maybe the Cubs make some noise today.

I think the difference was that the pitches Engel and Davidstein hit out had little movement on them and were out over the plate. Yeah, I can't find the vids, so I may be wrong. The pitch Rizzo hit started sinking or tailing.

you have to understand this is their World Series. I get it why they are so up for this series. They beat the Cubs + Defending World Champs. After this it's back to playing those shit AL teams. How is one to get up for the fucking Twins.

Once again this year is showing that regardless of how good the Cubs are and Sox aren't, Sox will always whoop their ass head to head.

Nah, this is like the 5th year in a row we'll win it so beating the Cubs is kind of routine at this point. Not worthy of buying swag for.

Gonzalez came off the dl last game and matched kershaw pitch for pitch. They must have been sleeping as well

Who are the Sox pitches who just started vs the Royals? Will any of those be pitching this series?

Always funny to go to wrigley to hear the crowd go wild over a ball that barely makes the warning track. That has been a staple for
Decades
