2017 Matt Davidson is 2007 Josh Fields.

Hey, I said early in the season that I'm rooting for the guy. I hope he turns out to be great. I don't particularly like the "all or nothing" type player, but I do understand that such guys are now part of the game and that type of power has value. Also, my viewpoint of these strikeout-walk-homer guys is colored by the Sox lack of success with them, e.g. Swisher, Dunn, Frazier. I could see Davidson being the DH on a good team.

He had a significant contribution to a world series title and has had 2 TREMENDOUS playoff appearances. Would I be disappointed if this is all he is now? Yes. Does that make me upset that it was the cubs pick... nope.

Also worth noting, one of the players we acquired via his underslot is current white sox Dylan Cease. Hard to say if Quintana happens without that second piece.

I see that they left age and obp and World Series rings. They both are DH bound, I'd take the younger guy with the higher obp and the WS hardware.

Davidson doesn't even have the walk portion in his repertoire.

Wins for pitcher: Meaningless.
Wins for a DH who couldn't even play in all the games during the series besides a pinch hitter: Meaningful.

Sorry, World series titles? better phrasing?

In 20 world series at bats, he made base 10 times. Including the lead off single to that scored the go ahead run in the 10th. And yes, it was very meaningful to that world series.

Between the dyed hair and now needing a cart for a simple knee bruise I'm wondering if Moncada has a penis? He certainly "Paul Pierced" it out there last night.

I love how Laurie Garcia was basically unconscious yet most of the medial attention went to the great Cuban hope.

You're shooting for another banner performance today, huh?

#1 His name Leury Garcia
#2 He was not the Garcia involved in the collision

You've got me there Francis. If I only knew the Sox roster 1/2 as good as you know the Cubs roster.

Schwarber had a good series in his limited role.

 Is that how we're judging players now, by their rings? I guess Ben Zobrist is better than Ted Williams. Keep that nonsense in the NBA were it belongs.

While I don't agree I do understand your point.

I think we can all agree that he is just fine for what the Sox are right now. Maybe he develops. Maybe he doesn't. The Sox have time to see, he is taking no one else's at bats and he is making the minimum.

Logic. It's hard to credit a DH and pinch hitter with a series win and not credit a starting pitcher with a game win.

Since Schwarber returned from the minors.

He felt "disrespected" by Strowman and decided to keep yapping after he struck out.

He's a bitch.

Somebody really needs to get in his face and tell him nobody gives a fuck anymore about his friend dying. We all lose people.
