you would be surprised what a bolt action rifle in poor condition can do. I've fired 75-80 year old mosins and so long as the sights are good (he had a scope so that's even better than iron sights) you'll hit your target.

Didn't the FBI do studies about just how shitty the functionality of that specific rifle were? I'm not saying the guy couldn't get one good shot off with it, but apparently the rapid fire nature of the shots would have required minor adjustments to the amount of pull on the trigger amongst other things.

3 shots in 8 seconds really isn't rapid fire by any definition for a bolt action. Especially when you start counting at the trigger pull of the 1st shot.

Yes. It's actually 2 shots in 8 seconds since the first one is already gone.

But that doesn't sound as incredible.

The gov had this all planned out but it was that guy James Teauge who throw a monkey wrench into their script. He was the guy standing under the overpass that got nicked w/ a concrete fragment from one of the bullets. That's why they had to come up w/ the 3 shots in 8 seconds.

Fuck I should stop. Can go on and on with this shit.

I don't believe in that many conspiracies compared to my past, but I have a few that I def believe are true.

I forgot when conspiracies are brought up on this board they are largely dismissed by people who wouldn't dare question such a thing. It's all good. I hope I'm wrong, honestly. I just like to live a little. A conspiracy or two will spice up your life ya know?

you know who the biggest conspiracy nut in the country is right ? : the guy who is President of the United States right now.

I wonder if he's been told and for the good of the country he will stay quiet.

But in this aspect, i hope Trump is Trump and blurts the truth out.

naw, i don't think that is the case. the warren commision linked that to make their case.

It would be funny if he came out and said some shit, but I'm sure he's been briefed/threatened as to what would happen.

I mean no one knew just how in depth the NSA was surveilling until Snowden told us. I still don't know if a lot of people truly grasp how crazy that leak was.

your right about conspiracies make for some good stories regardless if true or not. I remember as a little boy before the internet and mass media about John Wilkes Booth escaping and living into old age as some guy in Montana or somewhere. I remember as a kid it intrigued me.

I believe an assassin in the TBD 6th floor window would have fired while the Target was coming toward him and getting larger rather than when it was moving away from him and getting smaller.
I do think, though, that a conspiracy would have been almost impossible to keep quiet.

I also don't believe that Ruby was just a guy upset by Kennedy's assassination either. He hit the guy in a police station of all places. That was a contract hit.

Read Jim Marrs book. Does not give a definitive scenario but it lays out all the stuff going on. I read a lot on this ,the trees at the time made it almost impossible for the first shot to be made. He would have been to be hanging out the window.

easy shot, 95 yards at target moving in straight line and constant velocity. Oswald as a marine had to hit 500 yards to qualify as a rifleman.

Exactly.

Yes, read it. it's a weird book. He hypothesizes how the conversation between LBJ and the pysch may have gone. Not much proof.

BUT

I do think there's a lot of nuggets in that book that most likely happened between the head lawyer and LBJ.

People love the conspiracy theories as JFK has become a larger than life figure and it's just too much to accept that a man who failed at almost everything in life could kill him.

Jack Ruby is the one piece that adds fuel to the notion that there was a conspiracy at work. Why would he want to kill Oswald?

crime of opportunity. he just happened to be there and be kind of psycho.

yes he did

i want to believe! i have read so much about this . . .

but no other scenario works out.

oswald. alone. with the rifle.

this does not mean that others wanted him dead and tried to sabotage his presidency. the CIA definitely had other conspiracies that we know about, from Chile to LA.

Not this one, though. Not successfully, anyway.

he definitely did this.

the warren commission was deeply flawed. here's a great book about it:

None of that's true.

Marrs is not a trustworthy source. Nice guy, good writer, great storyteller, but not necessarily someone who specialized in verifiable truth.
