Found this ambling through Youtube. To my ear, this guy is amazing, very listenable, but hard to keep up with. I've learned more about him since, but just as a drummer, what are your thoughts?

Yeah, he's really good. From a bass player's perspective: you better be on point with your rhythm, cause he's doing his own thing, but his thing is cool. Its intricate and imaginative and (most importantly) silky smooth.

Indeed. I've seen him before doing cymbal demos - nice combination of power and grace. Serious groove and that left hand is killer.

If you count random drumming and not keeping time good drumming, this guy is a superstar.

Needs to slow down a little, so it isn't all chaos. Hardly qualifies as jazz.

Want to see a guy that can really drum, check out this guy from Peter Gabriel's band.

This dude is awesome! I'm not sure what brand kit he's playing, but that snare sound is great.
And having about $5K in cymbals would be nice too!
