White supremacists using Airbnb will be banned from making reservations and hiring out flats and permanently booted out from the platform, Airbnb’s co-founder said on Tuesday.

On the back of violence sparked by extremists in the US, Airbnb co-founder Nathan Blecharczyk said the company cancelled reservations made by some users after it had become aware of a gathering of white supremacists in Charlottesville - the largest in decades.

Speaking to Bloomberg TV, he said the “hate displayed this week has been shocking”.

“We make every one of our users sign a pledge when they sign up that they will not discriminate and exhibit hatred”, he said. “Whenever we become aware of such examples they are permanently banned from platform.”

Not sure. I am anti Nazi and not anti gay so I would have to pretend to make the case. I imagine there would be some that say its not right that a florist can discriminate against Nazis but a baker cannot discriminate against gays wanting a wedding cake. Unless you are going to argue that Nazis have no rights or that their "thoughts" are illegal then discrimination is discrimination.
