Toward the end here I felt like you might need to put him on some kind of suicide watch.

He should open a hot dog high end restaurant.

To be honest,it's a shame how he got tossed aside. yeah,he screwed up but he didn't kill anybody, just a few "careers" at Webio.

Somebody should have hired him and Coppock to do a show together.

Is thst some kind of wonderfully-subtle shot at Hanley, or did I miss s programming change re: Mully and Hanley?

The bookie priest better say goodbye to us, that's all I'm truly expecting here.

So does paps hsve something lucrative lined up or is this move trying to make somebody go NOOOOOO PLEASE DON'T GO!!!! and call his bluff?

I liked his post game show from two years ago. North couldn't get out of his own way during the last third of his career.

The guy tried to make the Score his own ATM machine with side deals with sponsors, trying to take a cut of sales department commissions, setting up relatives with jobs, trying to make his wife a talent agent and programming the station. He became tough to take. When it all came crashing down, he couldn't return to being the appreciative guy who would have listeners over to his house.

I think he thought he was some kind of king in Chicago. I've seen Fritzy in action walking into places like he owns the place and having people greet him but making faces behind his back. I imagine North was the same.

I agree on the hot dog stand. He could have made a killing if he kept one while working at the station. He had enough relatives who could have run it for him.

That's awesome.

As for whether North could still be at the Score today, I think his turning down the 800k paved the way for them to give Bernstein more money/power. The two of them would not have been able to coexist for that long at the station.

maybe he will try to catch on with whatever Brent Musberger is doing in Las Vegas.

That was an embarrassing part of his end: trying to scheme his loyal fandom with shit picks and fraudulent records.

Janice..had bad skin and wore too much make-up. I mean, it didn't look very good. she looked beat-up. And the stuff she wore was thrown together and cheap. A lot of pant suits and double knits. And then she talked about how rotten their kids were and about beating them with broom handles and leather belts.

Well played.

Isn't the really important question here -
How many Mike Norths does it take to change a light bulb?

Yes. At first glance I thought it was McMichael and the background reminded me of the old SCORE photos

I didn't know if that was meant to be a shot at Hanley's blandness or if he legitimately thought he was no longer at the station.

Even if it were the latter it's still a comment on the former.

The person I talked to yesterday had no idea he was retiring. It seems he told the media before anyone close to him. The response was "retiring from what?" Thought there were shenanigans at play
