Little. As a kid. My dad was an avid hunter, and still shoots out in the far western suburbs. I've never held a FOID card though. It has been a good 10+ years for me easy.

Firearms are efficient, but I agree with the principle of "shall not be infringed".

Raising prices on ammunition and FOIDs are asinine. The FOID wouldn't hold up to SCOTUS scrutiny either.

If that passes then good on that rep. The FOID is just more bloat spending. The ISP should be doing actual police work and not being a clearing house for administrative paperwork.

To further the point, yes they are very effective, and that is precisely why you should own one. That of course comes with the hope that you will never have to use it but the preparedness that you would be able to should the need arise.
