He was never the best pitcher on the White Sox.

I see how things were now w sox fans. He was their best pitcher in a crappy team. So that made him look somewhat good. But on a team with a solid rotation he looks like shit. His performance in the first 2 innings is shit. With no expectations w the wsox nobody really cared. But now with a team in the pennant race you can't give give up 4-6 runs throwing 60+pitches by the 2nd inning.

He is 5-3. That is a better win rate than Lester, Hendricks and Lackey.

Thru his first eight starts of the year, Quintana was 1-5. That is a worse win rate than just about everybody in an MLB starting rotation.

He's having a down year. If you looked at game by game you would struggle finding more than 4 starts each year of his career that he struggled in. Prior to this year he was giving up 2 runs or fewer in 60% of his starts and 3 runs or fewer in 90% of his starts. For Frank to say last year changed his mind is bullshit. He just got caught up in the JORR nonsense.

 Outside of Jorr and Ranger, nobody here has watched Quintana pitch more than I have over the last 2-4 seasons. You see, Nas, I actually watch Sox games. You say you do, and then you wear a W flag like a damn toga to sit in the bleachers for a Cubs playoff game.

Quintana is under.500 over his career for a reason.

That's arguable. It's not like good cases can't be made for both Gonzalez and Rodon.

He was a Cy Young candidate last year and you flipped on him in a week. It was odd. I don't watch every game but I see enough to know what's going on and then I can follow simple numbers in a box score.

Right now it seems like Montgomery is the stud LH starter in that rotation.

Also,http://m.mlb.com/player/488846/brian-duensing is having a heck of a season.

And in that box score next to "LP" you will find Jose Quintana's name more often than not.

The Cubs EASILY lose the division to the Brewers this year if they don't make the Quintana deal.

He meets resistance at .500. I'm sure deni$dman can explain it.

$500 says he finishes over. 500 next season. Anyone can take the offer or any amount.

Nearly every start in a Cubs uniform ended with a Cubs win.

He should obviously start Game 1 then.

He is their hottest pitcher but I would push him to Game 2. Let Hendricks go in Game 1. Maybe Joe won't pull him early since it isn't a series deciding game.

Was talking to an NL scout I know the other day and baseball people still can't believe that the Sox were able to get Jimenez (not too mention Cease as an add on) for Q. Word is Theo panicked after the Lester start before the break.
