Yea the problem is the city of Chicago has centered its entire existence around pleasing and attracting these kinds of people, and bad reviews like this matter more to city hall than driving away families who've been here for generations. That's the real story, people like this should have absolutely zero interest in moving here, but they do because starting about 20 years ago the city became obsessed with attracting them.

Jesus Christ. For an American city this isn't unique to Chicago. Literally every city has denser and more spread out areas. It's a good thing.

It seems like a lot of people who grew up or spent long periods of time in California have a hard time adjusting to life anywhere but California. My neighbor moved here from California and one day she took her and her 4 kids back there and was never going to return to this area even to visit as her husband finished his work responsibilities. The house still had all of their stuff until the husband left on the same day the movers showed up so I assume she moved in with family. She supposedly hated it here and that was why they did such a drastic move even with the house being unsold and him not having a new job in California.

People in California are in their own world. They literally think the world revolves around California. They have no comprehension of how other people live or what it's like to live in other parts of the country or world. Most have never even left the state except for vacation purposes to Vegas or Mexico.
