I picked up a bottle of that a year ago or so. It is strong medicine.

Back on the subject of Bourbon County. I was admittedly not a bigfan of the 2016 BCBS when it was originally released in November. I don't think I had drank a bottle since December. I popped one open on Father's Day with my Dad, and I have to say letting it age for about 7 months has definitely improved the taste. The 2015 we also opened was better than I remembered too.

Breaking news?

I'm at Oskar Blues out in Colorado. Apparently they bought out Cigar City. They are serving some Cigar City on tap. Hopefully that means we see Cigar City in IL sometime soon.

They can't afford the Illinois corporate tax.

Picked up a 4-Pack of Founders new DKML. I was a bit skeptical since this is a barrel aged malt liquor, but I have to say I was impressed. It packs a punch at 14.2%, but it's damn good, and a very refreshing summer beer.

If you like big time hop bombs then this stuff is your jam. Prototypical West Coast IPA. Also tried La Cumbre's Elevated IPA and enjoyed it as well.

The tap room lady said they're looking into expanding distro into LAND OF SUN. Hopefully Total Wine or Bevmo get decent allocations so it's easy to pick up when visiting PHX.

Had this for the first time last weekend. Solid IPA in my opinion and the color was just plain pretty to look at.

Having a big BBQ contest in town this weekend and some of the local breweries will be represented there so I
plan on partaking. For a town of 100,000 we have three micro breweries and one more on the way.

If it's not been mentioned yet, check out Windmill Brewing in Dyer, IN.

They make an amazing milkshake IPA called Memes & Dreams. They're doing great stuff, sort of under the radar.

It's worth every penny. I suggest at least giving it a try in the budget one time or more.

Good beer. Very light tart and blueberry flavor. Would be a good intro to sours. Tallgrass says tart but it tastes more like a very mild sour to me.

The Stone Enjoy By 4.20.17 was described as "interestingly dank".

We've also done many Alter Brewing Dank You IIPAs over the episodes.

Picked up a 4pk IIPA by New Glarus tonight called Scream. Gets decent ratings online, looking
Forward to trying it. At 9% ABV it might be a sneaky good one.

That's one of their best beers. I grabbed a couple 4 packs when we went to the Dells last month.

It was good.

I'd say 7 out of 10 on my IIPA scale.

Maybe 8.

If you havent been to More Brewing in Villa Park, go today. It's the former RAM Schaumburg brewer, who was knocking NE IPAs out of the park. At More, it's no different. I've gone a few times now for crowlers.

I went around the time they first opened up and i wasn't very impressed. They also only had like 3 or 4 beers on tap at the time, which is ridiculous.

They just got new tanks recently, so I'm guessing you will see more on tap.
