Sanders threatened to go to the convention and protest even after being eliminated. When that didn't work he complained about the process. Hillary Clinton never did any of that. When she lost she dropped out.

She did circulate the Muslim picture. Obama lied about things during that campaign too. No way in hell that he couldn't be familiar with Jeremiah Wright's views and that Rezko real estate deal was shady as hell.

As you can see above she brought up RFK. You followed it and I was actively involved in it. Pretty sure I got a small check.

She used bigotry to appeal to rust belt voters. There is absolutely no doubt about that. She half assed it just like Bernie when it came to turning out her voters and her body language was God awful. Bernie definitely stayed in too long but she also stayed in longer than she needed to. She spent the last couple of months trying to flip superdelegates and hoping for a scandal. Her argument was that it would make Obama a better general election candidate but all it did was give McCain material to use and make Obama spend money he didn't need to spend. Just like Bernie did this time around.

Nas laying down TRUTH.

Nas and LTG both laying down some truth.

I just read excerpts from some interview she did, and she's whining about how the election affected her so much she couldn't even sit up to write her book (you know, the book she'll make millions off of). She was depressed.

This is a woman who was supposed to be a champion of the people, but she can't see how insulting to those people it is to whine like that when you have tens of millions of dollars and are still one of the most powerful people on the planet. No self-awareness.

In these moments, it's most likely the most honest she ever is. She's a petty, entitled rich woman who hates those she sees as "less than" her.

The same women she is bitching about will still line up to make excuses for her and buy her book.

She dropped out as soon as it was mathematically impossible to win. That is what most candidates do. She also won most of the primaries down the stretch. She wasn't supposed to drop out because Obama supporters believed it to be the right thing to do. She also wasn't trying to flip superdelegates. She respected the process and when she lost she bowed out.

If there's anything the 2016 election told us, it's that most people are just tired of bullshit. It's not about policy, and it's not about ideology. People who aren't married to a party or a candidate (which is most people) are just tired of bullshit.

Our last Republican president ran up the largest debt in the history of the country and grew the Federal government to unprecedented levels. Our last Democratic president unilaterally killed thousands of innocent people with unmanned drones, including U.S. citizens, and presided over a period of time in which the poor and working classes who voted for him saw LESS opportunity than they did before his tenure. People. are. simply. tired. of bullshit. and. rhetoric.

If you watch videos of Trump supporters when they are asked about comments he makes or things he does that are ridiculous, they will almost always immediately say "I don't care." They don't care how ridiculous he is because he at least comes off as someone who is genuine (even if he also comes off as missing a chromosome).

Bernie Sanders supporters are similar. Time and time again, people were asked about the feasibility of his policies, and those people said "I don't care." They just saw a guy who seemed to be ideologically consistent and who seemed genuine. I was one of those people.

And yet, here we are with Hillary STILL trying to say that Bernie's extreme and impossible policies are what plagued her. She still doesn't fucking get it. It had nothing to do with policy. I'm not even sure what Trump's preferred policies are, and he beat her in a general election!

That said, even if Hillary HAD gotten it during the campaign, it still wouldn't have mattered. She's a political robot who subscribes to politically correct and empty statements. She couldn't have just flipped a switch and suddenly portrayed herself as candid or "real." It's just not in her to do that.

Hillary, the reason you lost is because you are soulless. Your answer to everything was to spout cliches about women, education, gun control, or any other nonsense. You were outdated, and you still are. I have no doubt you are extremely dedicated and hard-working, but you are empty and depressing and fake and, in many ways, Machiavellian.

Go. Away. And. Don't. Come. Back.

nailed it brah. unfortunately, what trump is doing as well as what bernie would of done (he actually did when he came to heal at hillary's call) is embraced the establishment and all that comes with it.

the people are tired of less opportunity. they are tired of cards being reshuffled but still the same cards in the end.

Speaking of which, I didn't realize that in all the shuffling of decks throughout history, it is likely that there have never been two decks shuffled in the same order, assuming a fair random shuffle.

The remark in question was originally made to the editorial board of a newspaper in May 2008 in response to questions about why Clinton remained in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination seemingly past the point of having any real chance of winning it:

Quote:
Hillary Clinton cited the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy during the 1968 presidential campaign to explain why she was remaining in the race despite long odds.

“We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California,” Clinton told the editorial board of a South Dakota newspaper. ” I don’t understand it,” Clinton added, alluding to the calls for her to quit.

On 9 August 2016 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump was widely criticized for a comment he made about Hillary Clinton that was widely interpreted as an incitement to violence against his presidential rival:

That controversy prompted counter-claims that Hillary Clinton herself had once made similar comments in 2008 by referencing assassinated 1968 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy in a discussion about her race for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination against Barack Obama. Although many people following the 2016 presidential race didn’t know or recall whether any such thing had occurred, the comment attributed to Clinton remains widely verifiable online in archived 2008 campaign news.

Is Rogers Park Bryan a Cubs Fan?

TRUE

ORIGIN:

On Saturday, August 12, 2017 a neo-Nazi sympathizer drove a car into a crowd in Charlottesville, VA killing Heather Heyer and injuring at least 19 others. In response, President Donald Trump stated that there was blame on "many sides". In the aftermath, on August 13, 2017, the Cubs beat the Diamondbacks by a 7-2 score with Rogers Park Bryan watching this Cub road game on his big screen television. He was also seen leading his pre-teen daughter in a rendition of "Go, Cubs, Go" after the game.

It's clearly apparent now that he would have done Trump-ian damage to progressive (or even moderately liberal) politics in this country.

I've regretted my primary vote for 14 months now.

Not at all what happened. That's ridiculous, they always explain why the rumor was checked or what brought it up.

More like this

Press conference: Trump says he's a cub fan, some say its out of line

Others point out rogers park bryan is also a Cub fan

Snopes: After the fallout from Cub fan statement by Trump, others accuse rpb of being a cub fan

TRUE]

There are tons of examples of Snopes bias, it's almost amazing you found one where they DONT show it

I disagree. The fact being checked was whether Clinton referenced the assassination of RFK with regard to her continuing to campaign as a primary candidate when it was obvious she had lost to Obama. There's no need to mention Trump in a verification of that fact at all.

That was it in this case.

I disagree. The fact being checked was whether Clinton referenced the assassination of RFK with regard to her continuing to campaign as a primary candidate when it was obvious she had lost to Obama. There's no need to mention Trump in a verification of that fact at all.

Every Snopes article has an "origin"

That was it in this case.

I don't think that's necessarily it. For example, in our case the origin of the question was a conversation between ltg and Nas suggesting that she had done that. I don't think it's objective for Snopes to make an assumption as to why people are asking the question and post an "ORIGIN" that purposely tries to impugn Trump (whether or not Trump deserves it).

Yes, good thing we didn't get someone in office that would do unfixable damage to this country!

Trump, "I have a huuuugely awesome idea, I am going to call Mexico and blow this air horn into the phone until they pay for the wall!"

Trump has proven to be virtually useless in terms of policy and drastic change and it's only getting worse as both Republicans and Democrats do nothing more than somewhat placate him while not really accomplishing anything.

Not seein' it. Explain.

It seems to me that Bernie hasn't become statesmanlike or just magnanimous since his L. His bluster and lack of political acumen as to how things get done likely tarred dems the way republican leadership rightly should be, if the press had any real integrity

He's the most popular politician in the country, so he must be doing something right as a voice of the opposition.
