That's exactly why a tweet like this: "The height of white privilege is being able to ignore his white supremacy, because it's of no threat to you. Well, it's a threat to me." is so tone deaf. If you asked her exactly how Trump is a threat to her she couldn't answer other than with some unsupported and unprovable abstraction.

I'm certain She'd have an easier time describing how Trump is a threat to her than you would have in describing how Muslims are a threat to you.

I agree with the last couple of points. You may not agree with Trump on many things but it does not make him a White supremacist. Just like it did not make President Obama a racist because he went to a Black Nationalist church on the south side. People have to quit making all these over the top pronouncements. You sound like an idiot when you do it.

Not as bad as the % of majority women voters. Which is always ignored to continue to blame the Blacks. 8)

You think it is an unassailable truth that he became President as a direct result of white supremacy?

You'd have to reach new levels of ignorance to believe that and ignore the democratic party's role in Trump rising to power.

Trump says a lot of stuff that sounds like a white supremacist though. That's the problem.

I don't think so. The core philosophy of Islam is that I must convert or die. If I'm lucky I can pay the jizyah, maybe. You can try and twist that supremacist philosophy any way you want and you can't make it untrue. Considering there are 1.6 billion people who follow this belief system, I'd say that's a real, actual threat. Whether I'll actually bump up against it during the next 35-45 years I have on the planet is questionable, but that hardly makes it less of a threat in the long run. I mean, you're concerned with a few thousand Klansmen scattered about the U.S., many of whom have never committed a crime and who you are unlikely to ever cross paths with, yet you'll somehow suggest that they are more of a threat than a gigantic supremacist religion that is growing by the day and has adherents blowing shit up every week.

Now, how do you think Donald Trump is a threat to a black woman who makes over a million dollars a year and has a platform to speak her mind whenever she wants to?

You do realize that there can be more than one direct result of his rise? It would be dipping to new levels of ignorance to believe that the Bannon/Miller/Mercer brigade didn't speak/pander directly to the deplorables.

Easy to speak platitudes from the cheap seats when you've never been threatened by a cop, redneck, klansman or denied opportunities because of a Black sounding name, school or address. Or had your government step in directly to disrupt "you" or your community (Cointelpro, War on Drugs, etc.)

There is a smear campaign going on with Trump. The MSM wants to portray his voters as White Supremists, but that's not true at all. In fact there are less than 300,000 KKK members in the country and Trump had almost 63,000,000 votes in the country. So even if he had some KKK people supporting him statistically they are a non-factor when it comes to voting.

Just like the right wing nut media had a smear campaign going on with Obama.

Hey, dipshit, politics has devolved into nothing but smear campaigns and extreme rhetoric. It's fucking pathetic.

Currently he is attempting to roll back Affirmative Actions policies in Education. She has probably bypassed the portion that effects her but if Trump would have had his way she never would have benefitted from such policies in the first place.

The United States currently drops more bombs in Muslim countries than Muslims drop in ours. Continue on with the fallacious argument though. Also if you think that Klansman # merely in the few thousands then you don't have much of a clue. Incidentally white supremacy isn't merely confined to Klansmen. MANY groups fall carry the banner for this particular ideology.

It's also fallacious to suggest that 1.6 Billion Muslims are supporters of Radical Islam.

As I figure that your income level isn't all that different than hers :P , I'd say that it's a safe bet that she does in fact have less privilege than a multi club member like you.

And aside from the discussion of your income, I'm comfortable being frighteningly serious about the rest.

I think because of the turnout for Barry O. it was a little disappointing that it went right back down to unacceptable levels.

But Im with you. The women are to blame, too.

If she walked into a restaurant north of Roosevelt, how many people would recognize her? Because of her "look", how many places may not want to serve her?

Really? She'd be seated in the VIP section while Peeps and shakes were standing in line.

Now you're going to make the case that somehow a TV star making a million a year has less "privilege" than I do. It's really rather silly.

As I figure that your income level isn't all that different than hers :P , I'd say that it's a safe bet that she does in fact have less privilege than a multi club member like you.

And aside from the discussion of your income, I'm comfortable being frighteningly serious about the rest.

If she walked into a restaurant north of Roosevelt, how many people would recognize her? Because of her "look", how many places may not want to serve her?

To your first question, few. (south either though imo)

As to your second, my guess is after she had the valet park her Maserati, the owners would want to, but given the tipping history of guys like Pippen (who could be mistaken for just worse than members of my own family), I'd bet the servers would be reticent.

It's time the African American community has a "reality check" of why we have Donald Trump to begin with. First off, you threw all the eggs in the Hillary Clinton basket who distains blacks almost as much as Trump. BLM, for whatever reason, started attacking Bernie Sanders. Bernie fucking Sanders who was arrested for standing up for the black community, in the 1960's. The 1960's people! I mean fuck, in the 60's even the most liberal of white's were pretty fucking racist. Then, when it was too late, and HRC was the only option to stop Trump, your turnout was a shell of what it was for Obama. So here we are....

The Democrats are going to do better than "Trump sucks" as a platform for the next election you know..cause that's all they got.

Not sure about that but the voter turnout numbers in the community were an issue.

Not as bad as the % of majority women voters. Which is always ignored to continue to blame the Blacks. 8)

I think because of the turnout for Barry O. it was a little disappointing that it went right back down to unacceptable levels.

But Im with you. The women are to blame, too.

Blame Bernie Sanders for the turnout. Most blacks under 40 were Berniebros. Even the day after the election they didn't regret not voting. I was surprised by the women who felt that way because in 2008 MANY loved her more than Obama. In my world she did nothing over 8 years to change that. The Russian propaganda machine was effective.
