Bryant speaking to team before the game...

You can't play in the man's game, you can't beat them - go home and tell your wife your troubles. Because only one thing counts in this game: Win the last game of the post season!

You hear me, you fucking burritos? A-I-D-A. Attention, Interest, Decision, Action. Attention - Do I have your attention? Interest - Are you interested? I know you are, 'cause it's fuck or walk. Decision - Have you made your decision for Theo? And Action. A-I-D-A.

Get out there - we got the Cardinals coming in. You think they came in to get out of the rain? A team don't walk on the field at Wrigley lest he wants to lose. They're sitting out there waiting to be beaten. Are you gonna beat em? Are you man enough to beat em?

Tears will fall this weekend and then they will play another tanking chump next week to soothe cubbie fan's wounds

For a second, I read that as Schwarber catching.

Pretty god damn big series. We're gonna kick some Lackey ass today but you win the rest. If the Cubs are anything like the Cards, after that hit-fest yesterday you'll be lucky to get a ball out of the infield today.

Cubs have hit Carlos Martinez well in the past, but not this season. Going to be tough. Lackey has been decent recently. HAVE to take 2 of 3 this weekend, and it would be nice to start off on the right foot.

It's all about the 'do with Martinez. He's been damn near un-hittable since going blue.

He can be good...he's mostly good for a pitcher with one pitch. ( 86 to 92 MPH fastball) He puts up a solid six most of the time.

He's fun to watch at bat. He was such a rotten hitter that he switched to lefty 2 months ago. He has yet to even put a ball in play. Also, he can't bunt.

Didn't take long for Long Ball Lackey to deliver a gopher ball.

It's close to Cubbie blue. Looks like he is telling Theo he wants to play up here in a couple years.

Don't worry, the no decision is the best he will do.

FYI: McCarver on your catcher after gunning down Pham: I do not like that...no sir, I don't like that at all. (referring to the Mutumbo act)

Who cares? Buddy Rich used to say it's not bragging if you can back it up.
