It seems like the Marlins, Brewers and MLB did this under the table without exploring any other options. Let us also not forget that the GM of the Brewers worked as an assistant GM with the Astros when the astros traded a bunch of prospects to the Brewers. Later that season he took the GM job with the Brewers and those prospects are all playing roles on this team while the astros got shit and mike fiers. The Brewers got Villar, Hader and Santana...all major contributers on the big league team. oh yea....and their future starting OF Brett Phillips who is playing on the big league team right now. When does a trade net you 4 mlb players in less than 2 years....

When the cubs moved that first game at home last week to a night game the brewers bitched and moaned. maybe this was the mlb's way to pay them back.

Wasn't Sox Park open this week?

Didn't the Cubs move the game because the Pirates were hell bent on a night game before getaway day? They had to have gotten permission to do it. They can't just move it.

The Brewers also won both games at Wrigley they bitched about.

I can't believe that aside from putting in 2 potted palm trees which is just fucking insulting.....that the only thing they did to make this a home or even neutral series for the Marlins was to let them bat in the bottom half of the innings. They played all their home walk up music and other sound effect stuff....they wore their home jerseys and they celebrated their home runs like a home game.

Knowing the Marlins as we do, the Brewers probably offered to fly in event-ops people and stuff like that but the Marlins said "nah, forget it, not worth it."

My wife sat 2 rows behind Eddie Vedder today.

Sure glad I had to coach those fall ball games today in that heat and humidity.

with such a big series do you think the cubs fans will still outnumber the brewers fans? If that is the case that'll be pretty sad for the brewers.

Miller Park is fun, but I think I would have preferred a stadium on the lakefront near the Summerfest grounds. Miller Park is practically in Stallis.

Never been up there but County stadium was a great place to watch a ballgame. Great grounds crew when it was around.

Ya the location could be better but once I'm in the park I love going there....provided its a real brewers home game. Its not the hardest drive but there is something to be said for a park being within walking distance of say people and bars. I ran their 5k this year and the course goes around the grounds and its like I was in no mans land.

im feeling good about Q starting games now. Last 2 starts he's been pretty good. Maybe Bosio has worked w/ him and got his mechanics down well now. As long as he doesn't have a bad first 2 innings he'll be good. Feel more confident with the guy going out there now.

I don't really get off on eating pasta salad and bratwurst in a parking lot, but tailgating there was fun once or twice. It's kind of a pain to get in and out but at least Milwaukee traffic ain't nothin'.

Miller Park is a GREAT place to see a ballgame.
Except for one thing: There is one road in, and one road out...of that parking lot. Arrive early, tailgate. It's similar to a college football tailgate atmosphere, depending on the date.

And then - either leave early to beat the traffic...or stay the whole time and then just do some post game tailgating. Because you ain't getting out quickly at that point.

There is one north lot you can get out of pretty quickly. Its small and it exits kind of by the miller brewery.

Every single bar in Milwaukee also offers a free shuttle to the game if you buy like 1 drink so you just park there and take the shuttle. I am talking downtown or over in tosa by the zoo. Its a pretty sweet deal.

I'm getting home late no matter what so it doesn't matter. It's a 3 hour drive basically from out here but really not much worse than Wrigley. I had thought about just grabbing s hotel but my friend wants to get back. It will be fine. Bought the tickets last night. Decent seats.

Cardinals lose another series to Cubs. Since July 2015, including NLDS, Cards are 2-12 with 3 splits in series v Cubs.

Q mowing ( the Cardinals , not the lawn, fuckos) them down through 3. FF sweating bullets but that's probably from his hangover . Lance Lynn is 280 lbs plus.

That first baseman is like Javy in always asking god challenges and often being wrong.

Game is on TBS btw if you're out of towner.

They got Ron Darling and Ernie Johnson announcing. Very good so far. Getting ready for their postseason broadcasts I guess.

Look at that Quintana pitching better than the other guy.

0 runs is a bonus!!
