Doesn't have to be sports you followed. Could just be from ESPN highlights or whatever...

Basketball: MJ/Scottie/Larry Johnson/Brian Grant/Mahmoud Abdul-Raouf/Dan Majerle/Calbert Chaney/Deon Thomas/Kiwane Garris/Jerry Hester

Football: Rashaan Salaam/Andy Katzenmoyer/Brian Urlacher/Joel Makovicka/Mike Alstott (basically, big white dudes and Rashaan Salaam)

Baseball: Sandberg/Dawson/Dunston/Grace/Lee Smith/Bob Tewksbury/Marquis Grissom/Benito Santiago/Ron Gant (Gant had huge fucking pipes)

Hockey: Roenick

Tennis: Agassi/Sampras

I'll think of more...

Many, but I want to add Bo Jackson and Deon Sanders to this list. I was in awe of the "two sport" athlete. I loved "FA tour" that Deon put on after finishing baseball in the spring and then jumping right into the NFL.

Baseball Bill Buckner, Rick Sutcliife, Ryno and Dunston.

Basketball Jordan, Bird, Magic and Doc. Followed by Pippen and Grant as I got older. I also had an unnatural love for Reggie Theus, Artis Gilmore, And Granville.

Hockey Ed Belfour, Doug Wilson, Eddie O and Savard

Football. 85 Bears. They were gods to 10 year old squirrel

Tennis McEnroe, Connors and Becker. Eventually Agassi but I was older when he arrived. Also, Jennifer Capriati and Gabi Sabatini but those we're different thought.

Pele and Diego Maradona.

Jack Nicklaus.

Squirrel reminded me of golf... Fred Couples and I have zero idea why.

Herbert Perry, Jose Valentin, Kip Wells, Mike Sirotka, Cal Eldred, Jim Parque, James Baldwin's gigantic head, Billy Simas, Kevin Beirne, Rocky Biddle, Gary Glover. Basically anyone on those early 00s Sox teams. FUCK ROYCE CLAYTON AND BILLY CROTCH FOR REAL THOUGH.

John Stockton. Young Spiral was a racist and liked how he would pass the ball instead of scoring. Also he would elbow those nasty balcks.

I was a fan of Seve Ballesteros too for some reason. Odd memories of cheering wildly for Granville Waiters. Thought he was some 40 year old playing. I think he was 25.

That would've depended on one's age at a given time.

Gonna try to name as many players from the 2000 Sox as I can remember.

C - Mark Johnson, Brook Fordyce (who had a local ad for Pizza Hut if I remember), Charles Johnson

1B - Frank Thomas, a young Paul Konerko I believe.

2B - Ray Durham, Greg Norton (prolly played a few games there )

3B - The aforementioned Milkman

SS - Pornstache

LF - Carlos Lee

CF - Chris Singleton

RF - Magglio

P1 - Big Head James
P2 - Cal "proto-Todd Ritchie" Eldred
P3 - Mike "who needs a labrum?" Sirotka
P4 - Jim "closeted burrito" Parque
P5 - Kip Wells "fucking sucks"

Setup - Bob Howry
Closer - Keithe Foulke

Bullpen - Lorenzo Barcello, Buehrle was on this team, Beirne, Kelly Wunsch, Gary Glover, Bill Simas, Jon Garland git Called up mid season and shit the bed in his first start against the Royals I think.

Others - McKay Christiansen, Jeff Liefer, I want to say Joe Borchard but that's probably wrong. Blanking on anymore. Probably missing some obvious ones.

Edit: Wow didn't remember Crede or on this team. I was wrong about Borchard. Jeff Abbott may as well have been Greg Norton. Pissed I forgot about Graffanino. Also Josh Paul. The 2000 Sox sure as shit loved catchers.

Edit 2: Garland's 1st career start was at KC on July 4, 2000. 3ip, 8 hits, 7 runs, 7 earned runs, 1 hr, only 1 walk tho! Can't believe I remembered that.

I was trying to stick to pre high school or even pre junior high but I realize the years kind of blend together because I'm old.

Me too. I think I only listed Urlacher because he was probably the last Chicago superstar who was older than me, and we met him as a rookie in training camp. He was nice as hell to us while Enis and McNown snuck out without even talking to fans.

Even as a Packer fan it was Walter Payton. Also Norm, Artis Gilmore and Reggie Theus. Tony O and Mikita. Both baseball teams sucked but I recall Rick Monday, Jose Cardenal and Chet Lemon.

Also, Sid Justice and the Undertaker.

One of my favorite childhood moments in general...

We ordered PPV for Wrestlemania and we ordered Happy Joe's pizza (yes, my family is a bunch of hicks), and we watched the return of the Ultimate Warrior unexpectedly. That was fucking awesome.

So.. bobby the brain Heenan dies and I utter damn.. my wife asks me what and I tell her and tell her that all these old wrestlers had died. I was either happy or sad she didn't remember The Ultimate Warrior (He was tail end of my wrestling viewing life) but was devastated she hadn't heard of the Junkyard Dog or hacksaw Jim. Thank god she remembers captain Lou.

I digress. I'm picking up Happy Joes on Friday when my wife is outta town.

Sat down for dinner last night and got a text about Bobby dying. Sucks when you see all guys you enjoyed watching as a kid die. Piper hit me kinda hard a few years ago as he was literally the first wrestler I ever remembered seeing.
