Who would have guessed you'd be a fan of a movie about a bedridden child held captive by an older authority figure.

The Princess Bride is an all time classic.

If I had a top 10, it would be there.

Yep. Good call with the soundtrack.

I gotta say that the book sucked. First half was funny, then the second half....man, it dragged, and I'm on Adderall.

I read it. I have no idea why but I pushed through all the silly original translation monologues or tangents or whatever.

I absolutely LOVED this movie, and I especially appreciated that Fred Savage wore a Bears jersey.

Taped this last nite and going to try to introduce it to my yungins - thanks for the reminder!

They'll love it. Some of my favorites were more aimed at boys so my daughter didnt love some of them but on the first watch it became a favorite of hers.

Yep. My daughter loved 'Goonies' and 'Ghostbusters'.

She always asks to watch movies that I liked when I was her age.

It's a favorite of every kid I know who has seen it. Has aged well. I do get a kick out of watching films or tv shows from my childhood with the kids.

I am always a bit surprised when a comedy ages well.....some of the tripe my parents used to laugh at was less funny than Small Wonder.

My god that was an awful show. My kids love all the crap on the digital antenna from 30 years plus ago.

Chus Jr. I loves The Princess Bride. It probably helps that Inigo Montoya is the voice of Huxley in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, and Vizzini does the voice of Rex in the Toy Story series.

Dude, Princess Bride and Last Exit to Brooklyn would be a fucked up double feature.
