Gonna be tough with WASH's starting pitchers, but all the pressure will be on the Nats in the first 2 games at home. And Dusty is in their dugout. So fuck it.

Cubs in 5.

Meh. Doesn't look like any of the Nats' SP, as good as they are, have a history of excelling in the playoffs. Cubs in 2.

Surprised to see Nationals Park is playing as a hitter's park this year. I feared that with deep fences, low elevation, and DC's stifling humidity, it would be down there with Petco, and that taking that into a chillier October would spell doom for Cubs hitting. But the forecast calls for pretty favorable weather next week, so maybe they'll hit some dingers after all. I feel like it'll go all five with the home team winning the first four. My head says Nats in five but my heart says the dual curses of Dusty Baker and the Montreal Expos will do them in.

Nats are hungry and they're better than the Cubs this year. I think they sweep us.

My mind says Nats in 5.

My mind also says that Dusty will fuck it up.

Cubs in 4.

the nats got bullpen help by the trade deadline, i think? feels like lackey was auditioning for a starting role in the playoffs, and he did a better job than arrieta did.

nothing will be easy for the cubs in the playoffs, no matter how far they go. many heart attacks will be suffered.

I do think there is a lot of pressure on home teams to win the first 2. If the Cubs win one, panic will set in for the Nats.

it's the Nationals time. It's been a bumpy ride all year and there's really no reason to expect it to change now.

Depends on how Merlot Joe is going to line up his pitchers. I think Nats in 4 seems like a good possibility.

With all of the suspicion, and rightly so, of the Natinals bullpen (although, i have not checked on the reinforcements they brought in) I'm not sure the Cub bullpen inspires a lot of confidence either... but short series are wacky; anyone could catch fire for an 11-game span.

Game 1: Fri., Oct. 6 at Nationals Park (TBS)

Game 2: Sat., Oct. 7 at Nationals Park (TBS)

Game 3: Mon., Oct. 9 at Wrigley Field (TBS)

Game 4: Tue., Oct. 10 at Wrigley Field (TBS)-*

Game 5: Thu., Oct. 12 at Nationals Park (TBS)-*

Not sure why they scheduled a Wrigley game on the same day (night) the Bears are home. Seems like a silly move.

Pretty sure they pick those dates before they know who is playing. They wait to do the times so they can base it on markets.

Might be a day game.

Fuck this nationals noise. There have been 2 hot teams in the second half... and news flash they played in last years World Series. Dusty baker in a short series and a weak bullpen... yes please. The nats starters are pitching 130 pitches a game and leaving on a three run home run to surrender the lead.

The nats aren't only losing this series, count out next year as there will be a group discount on tommy John surgery. Cubs are peaking. Bryce Harper is walking and no one else is going to save their sorry ass.

The pain train is coming. Choo choo. Enjoy the ride.

September success has no bearing on October success. I look at the 162. The only reason the Cubs can win here is it's the playoffs, and it's a crapshoot. The Nats should win.
