Haha. Exactly. Anytime I hear my wife start a story, I just think of that bit.

Nas, I didn't say it was every night, just every night I wanted it. Energy is definitely a problem, my friend. Sometimes, I'd rather just sit and doze off to a Cubs game rather than head up to bed.

Generally, my wife is an excellent cook- the frozen pizza thing is about the only meal I ever have an issue with, but we probably do frozen pizza Friday night about once a month, so it happens enough to stick in my craw. Friday night for an elementary teacher=low energy point for the week. It's fine.

I don't buy the laundry items, so that's why we don't use the tablets. My schedule and activities don't allow me to not delegate some of these duties, and because of that, I must accept the results. Doesn't mean they don't annoy me.

And those of you frolicking every night, STFU. I married one of the women who literally has no use for sex. Like Robert Blake once told Johnny Carson, "I've been put on a semen-retention program". Was a necessary evil early on, until it produced the three kids. I always enjoyed it, but must have been the only one.

Good/crazy sex isn't hard to find. It's hard to marry because there are usually a million red flags. CoF is lucky. There are far more important things than sex. If I hate being in your presence I won't want to sleep with you.

I've never had that problem. Hopefully, you weren't putting them on top of your clothes and then starting the machine.

Sure does. I have no doubt my wife and I would be divorced if it were not for it.

Sorry to hear that K.

No sympathy required. There are more important things, she has been a fantastic mom to my kids, is, by others' evaluation, an excellent teacher, and absolutely no crazy at all. Worth the trade off for me. Absolutely never would step out on her; even if I wanted to, the options would be limited due to my morbid obesity and appearance rated just below ogre. That, and I am quite an asshole. The older I get the more comfortable I am with who I really am, godliness with contentment is great gain.

Yeah, my wife is an awesome cook so this is a minor complaint. But she is one of those people who manages to use every pot, pan, spoon, bowl, and knife in the house regardless of how simple or complex the meal. The food is always great, so like I said, it's a minor complaint.

My wife is OCD about recycling stacks of papers. Routinely, kids will be looking for homework or I'm looking for a bill or something and they've just disappeared. I have to go rummage through the recycling bin (if it wasn't just trash day) and find whatever's missing there. She'll just grab papers off of the counter tops and dump them in the bin without looking at them.

I'm pretty sure she recycled my daughter's birth certificate last week. :?

1. It sounds like CoF is married to my ex-wife. Sex was just fine, but as Nas pointed out....I eventually wanted nothing to do with her cause she was a lazy slob that I couldn't stand to be around.
2. My wife's only real flaw is that she doesn't give herself enough credit. She is humble to a fault. I know I annoy her where my than she annoys me. I'm a pain in the ass.

My wife'e mother ruined her. She can't even make a decision on the most insignificant of things. It's no wonder she went into psychology.

I guess I could toss in the issue that my wife has absolutely no concept of how a budget works. Growing up with her Dad trying to show off his status and fit in with the high rollers, they wanted for nearly nothing. She had a couple of years post-college as a single female grade school teacher in our church system, where she was underpaid to the point of building debt for living expenses. Marrying me was a complete reversal of fortunes, literally. Since she wants no contact with the home finances, I get to do all of it, which I do happily and very well. So, we discussed and decided on an amount she should withdraw from each of her pay deposits to use as cash grocery money. About every other pay period she is short, and will randomly use a debit or credit card to cover some of the bill. That is supposed to be the reason for using cash, keep the remainder from one period to cover excess the next. Instead, she will buy sales items to excess with any remainder the first week, only to be short the next. So we have a pantry full of sale-priced noodles and crackers, but run out of milk or eggs or coffee.

Or there is this exchange:

Mrs. K:I had to put $60 on the debit card at Aldi's today
K: Why?
MK:I ran out of grocery cash
K: Huh?
MK: Here's $60 cash
K: Where is this from?
MK: My grocery money.
K: I thought you ran out?
MK: Well, I had more, but I did not take it in to the grocery store when I went grocery shopping, so I ran short.
K:I'm going out to the barn (to hit something that won't land me in jail)

In the case of my ex it waas using money not budgeted for X then pocketing the "cash" that she was short.

The cash was already taken out, so it was accounted for. Debiting it after cash withdrawal would cause more money loss and screw up a balanced checkbook.

My wife and I pay all of our household bills and monthly expenses and together activities with credit card and pay off the cards every month. Then we take out cash each month as fun money we can use for whatever - usually individual stuff. If we started paying for shit with debit cards with that system, it would throw off what we actually have in the account. The credit card points have paid for some free flights as well as big chunks of home remodeling projects.

Right but if you deposit the 60, everything is square again.

I can see being annoyed though I guess if you have a system like that.

It's a trick used by habitual spenders on cash budgets. My buddy's wife used to try it all the time.

Yeah, we do have to do that sometimes. It is annoying to have to go back to the bank to deposit small amounts of money, so usually we just throw it in our dog fund, which goes towards paying for dog boarding when we go out of town. It's 5% cheaper if we pay with cash, so the dog fund gets $50 a month to build it up.
