Hey, I got no beef with you cheering against the Cubs. I expect it, it's a natural function of the universe. But nothing is worse than these doom and gloom beta-fag Cub fans. Zero confidence.

This guy gets it too...

September success has no bearing on October success. I look at the 162. The only reason the Cubs can win here is it's the playoffs, and it's a crapshoot. The Nats should win.

That's an oversimplification at best and completely insane at worst

Most of the time, the World Series winner plays about 7-10 games over .500 in September. .612 Winning pct over the last 15 years.

They are the champs. Period.

They slept walked the first two months of the season. Gone through more injuries than last year. And are a better team in every conceivable way compared to April.

Wouldn't surprise me to see LaStella get a start against Strasburg or Scherzer.

they improved their bullpen at the trade deadline. as far as i know, it has helped them a lot.

the key thing is that the cubs have been through this, and won. the nationals haven't. whether they take it this year, is up to them. the cubs shouldn't be skerred of anyone at this point.

cept...maybe the diamondbacks.

The Nationals have the best starting pitching, with 3 of the top 5 starters in the league this season. Plus they have Harper back to bolster their offense. The Cubs have 2 top pitchers at less than 100 percent. It should be a good series, but if I were betting, based on where the pitching stands with both teams, ...... Nationals in 4. I hope to be wrong.

Scherzer left the game today with an injury. Cubs road might have just gotten easier.

It means Starsburg twice, rather than Schurzer. 6 of one, a half dozen of the other. Now if Max has to leave the game he starts (3 or 4) and gets hit around early because he can't drive off that leg, due to the pulled hammy......that would change things..

Very surprised to see Heyward did that well against Scherzer and SS.

The last person to do that was Gary From Evanston, and now he's dead.

Another playoff series with a major player of the opponent being injured. How will the cubbies persevere?

Kershaw ... well, his feelings were anyway.

I'm no detective. But if I were, I'd say that Gio Gonzalez throwing a bullpen today and Scherzer not throwing one suggets Gio in Game 2.

That should bode well for the Nats then. Cleveland managed to dispatch the 2 best American League teams last year until falling to the best team in the NL despite being injured.

I'm sure the Nats are heavily favored, and they should be. They're more talented.

Cubs in 4.
