TBS is happy. They veto the day game yesterday now they get a game 5.

Modern day sports.

Bet Theo was pissed yesterday and even more pissed now.

Cubs were interested in Doolittle and Madson. I guess Brad Pitt was still pissed about the Addison Russell deal.

If we had those 2 guys, esp. Doolittle, we'd be pretty damn good. Instead we have a very young Edwards and the unreliable Strop.

Cubs gave up a crucial post season homerun. The Miller role was filled.

Can’t win without a pen and now Davis caught whatever CJ has. Bad.

The announcers in the Indians/Yankees game just said it was Hendricks vs. Scherzer tomorrow night.

Scherzer out of the pen for a couple innings yes, but can't see him starting.

2 days? So they fly out immediately and play what time tomorrow? With all that unpredictable.

I am assuming it was a mistake on the announcers part

I can see him pitching four or five depending on pitch count. It is Dusty.

Lester went 3 2/3 today it's not even crazy

He'll be able to throw 40-50 pitches without a problem.

What?

The game is tomorrow. It'll be 2 days rest no matter what time the flight is.

Good to see the Cubs get some value out of Justin Wilson....someone should've informed Maddon that Alex Avila has a career grand slam off of Strasburg...likely something both men remember. Needed to throw some different AB's at Strasburg, he was rolling along way too easily. Tho I suppose with Lester you can't change up the backstop on him.

If the Cubs had gone with Verlander--prolly could've kept the prospects and just paid his freight 100%--JV already has a W as a starter and another W out of the bullpen for the Astros this post-season.

Figure they want Max Scherzer to approach the game with his somewhat usual starting routine, and then give em once through the batting order, maybe 1.5x's through, if he can do it in 40-50 (max) pitches.

For some reason I thought his game was Monday. As far as team everyone will be off their regular nibset.

I listened to last few innings last couple days. They have been compelling endings.

It was Monday, Mike. If he pitches tomorrow, he had two days' rest.

I'm never giving you a ride anywhere again.

How many days rest did Bumgarner have when he pitched game 7 relief against KC?

Yep, if he’s gonna pitch, may as well have him start.
