So what happens now with Edwards? Has that guy completely lost it? Will we see him much against LA?

Yes. Thankfully I got out. The whole place is nothing but desolate wastes and fierce beasts. All my friends were getting eaten up. So I moved away from all the Wangdoodles, and Hornswogglers, and Snozzwangers, and rotten, Vermicious Knids.

I still can't believe it.

That rivals '03.

With the Cy Young winner on the mound .

I love when dolphin melts down.

I'm just glad he is alive, thought someone might have to cut him down from the rafters this AM.

Speaking of that, has anyone seen JORR?

I wasn't even awake for the last innings. I had parent teacher conferences followed by late dinner then homework review and tucking everyone in for bed. The Eagles winning straight up was much more interesting to me.

I'm sure the first thing you did is morning was go on an Eagles message board to discuss the big win...

No, the first thing I did was look at the credit provided for that win.

Cubs fans suffered in 03 with Dusty Baker so it's fitting that Dusty proved to be such a shit manager 14 years later and it helped the Cubs this time.

Scherzer comes in to the game in the bottom of the fifth with the Nats leading by one run.

He throws 6 pitches and gets two outs. After 22 more pitches the Nats are down 7-4. Bye bye Max.

Shoulda brought him in in the 3rd like I said. They probably win 8-1 if they do that.

looking through that series, Dusty's bullpen was an absolute dumpster fire, and Gonzo is who really ruined that series. Let's blame Dusty for 04, 05.

Dusty's bullpen could have easily included Carlos fucking Zambrano or Matt Clement but he prefered Dave goddam Veres

and he watched his young stud 23 year old pitcher meltdown and waited til he gave up the lead to even go to the mound.

We could always just give him a bogus suspension and call it a Lack of Instituitional Control.

I’m surprised Dusty didn’t bring in his 23-year-old kid to the press conference and sit him on his lap.

i know that it is too long for anyone to sit and read in its entirety, but this game thread from a Nationals message board full of die-hards was very interesting as i randomly jumped from page to page. Confidence and nervous anticipation before the game, dancing on the Cubs grave after the home runs, freaking out about Gio Gonzalez being in the game, all the Dusty hatred, complaints about horrible umpiring, the Scherzer meltdown, the aftermath and fan hatred towards the manager and the entire organization, its all there from an interesting new perspective. They are all pretty much ready to kill themselves and it kind of makes me feel good just jumping through it. it is pretty much an 87-page long suicide note from Nationals fans.

EDIT: holy shit...87 pages on ONE GAME

First gem...

I've already booked a flight back to DC for Game 3 of the World Series. Looking forward to seeing the expression on my Dad's face when he gets to his first World Series game after waiting so long for baseball to come back to DC. Really hoping we match up with the Astros... I can make the drive to Houston in three hours from San Antonio.

I'm telling you right now, we're winning this series tonight.

That's what is great about him. He hates everyone/everything until a moment arises when he drunkenly proclaims "I love all you guys." And the cycle starts over.
