Puig's disputing the reporter's stat of tonight being his first postseason HR was pretty funny

No base runners after the 4th inning in a game they lost by 3, but all the whining will be about the correct call on Contreras.

I’m going to sit in a chair all night staring at my front door, gun in hand, drinking Smirnoff.

Just waiting for a fool to walk in.

I think you’re supposed to sit in your garage watching the rain.

No you don't. I would agree with your assessment. I don't think they have the pitching aligned to compete. Rich Hill tomorrow  and it will probably be a Dodger victory. It won't get better as things go along.

I have the Cubs at 8/1 to win the WS so I'm rooting for them. I still enjoy trolling Cub fans though.

I think Maddon may end up with egg on his face. The ruling from NY was that the catcher never tagged the runner. It was not a blocking infraction. That is what the radio told me just before he jumped up to the podium. I am into my cups, so I reserve the right to be wrong.

That makes no sense then because Contreras tagged him after the slide. If it was not a blocking infraction then he is clearly out

Grote tried to make a fool of me. He just read the CORRECT statement where the NY guys definitively stated that the catcher interfered.

Come on Grote...

It's kind of a mute point. Cubs weren't scoring again tonight. They were already down and out. If it gives WCUB some sort of chip on shoulder to play better...ok I guess. But it didn't matter.

Another soothing Poet pic....Whittier Poet emeritus.

Pretty painful really. Dodgers were my team as kid. Team allegiance is a political football.

That is an excellent point. Q gave up 2 runs. The Cubs didn't do dick after scoring their own 2 runs. This would have just been a more painful loss for the fans and the pen. The bats need to show the fuck up or they will be getting packed up. They had a good approach vs Kershaw and as soon as he was out they had some god awful ab's against all the relief pitchers.

Yep. You called it out at the time and it was true. None of the Dodger pen was pushed. ALL are available tomorrow. Cubs went up and flailed away. Team Baez in full effect.

SAD

If they cannot get over the hangover from the precious NLDS tomorrow it is absolutely over.

Every time I read a post from HY I can't help but think of the post where he talked about the babe that was "unkempt" and missing teeth who he was smitten with but there was a catch.

I mean, the missing chompers wasn't a catch?

Sorry man. You are a true Cubs fan. Go cubs.
