What is he ripping Theo/Jed for, the bullpen? They traded for a guy having a great season and he sucked after he got year. It's not like they didn't try to upgrade that spot. It's clear the pitching will need to be addressed this off-season. The rotation will be solid (Lester, Quintana, Hendricks for sure), but will need another elite starter if Arrieta isn't back and a veteran type to fill the #5 spot. Is there a reason why Wade Davis wouldn't be brought back as a priority? I have read in a couple spots that he's not likely to be back. If that is accurate, why?

I think it has been thought that Edwards would take over the closer role after this year. But with his struggles I dont think they can go that route yet. I would def look to resign Davis.

They seem hesitant to go multi-year on a closer, so Davis I guess won't be back unless he accepts a 2 year deal maybe with a 3rd year option tied to performance. I wanted Jansen bad and they didn't even make an offer. Edwards is not ready to close next year. Without a closer, your team is toast, so they are going to have to get someone elite.

We shall see.
