Yeah there was a lot of Lance hype.

I've got a lot of them    Some highlights...

Kurt Warner was a flash in the pan QB and that Trent Green would prove to be the much better QB.

Jay Cutler would be a HOF QB and lead the Bears to multiple SuperBowls.

Britney Spears was a one hit wonder that we would never hear from again.

Gas will never exceed $3.00/gallon.

He'd be a star on the Bulls this year.

I was screaming to anyone who would listen that Bledsoe should start the Super Bowl over Brady.

  That is a great one.

Context: Brady got hurt in the AFC title game and Bledsoe finished.

Also, Brady was seen as a Game Manager and Bledsoe as a thrower. They were going up against the greatest show on turf so I thought they'd need to score a lot to win. Also, Belichick's genius was not known yet.

Plus Bledsoe was decent, and Brady's "genius" was not known. He is game manager even beyond Joe Montana and the west coast offense.

Yeah given the context of where things were at the time, saying Bledsoe should start over a 6th round pick is not that crazy.

It's always fun to see one of the brilliant north side fans bump a thread or post as if they "gotcha" even though it was an obvious troll job.

Post crazy thought. If it comes true, take credit. If not, call it obvious trolling.

Nice lawering.

I do the same thing with 3-0 playoff leads.

President Elizabeth Warren.

Chip Kelly would do the right thing and rest his starters 2nd half of a 2013 late-season game against the Bears. A game the Bears needed to get into the post-season, but was mostly meaningless to Kelly's Eagles. Kelly showed why he's not an NFL coach by not only playing his starters the full sixty and blowing out the Bears 54-11; but also running every trick play in his play-book as well; giving playoff opponents more tape on Kelly's heretofore seemingly unstoppable Eagles offense.

2 weeks later Kelly would get bounced from the playoffs by Sean Payton.

that's not wrong. Cutler prolly had as much or more potential to be a great QB than Rodgers. Rodgers made himself a better QB while Cutler smoked cigarettes and went clubbing with G-Reg.

Thought the Spurs were done in like 2011, then they went to two more finals and won one. (screw you, FF)

I thought rookies from high school would never make a dent in the NBA during their first year, then LBJ happened.

Butler would never be anything more than a defensive stopper.

IDK how to assess my Trestman love upon his hire. I thought he'd fix the offense, and to some extent he did, but I didn't realize he'd lose the locker room and generally be incompetent at everything else.

Zambrano was the next big thing, and would be better than Prior and Wood when both were healthy. This was 2003/2004.

Joe Mixon shouldn't have punched that girl that hard, he was rightly criticized for causing damage to her.

This is clearly a very thinly-veiled (at least on purpose) attempt to remove yourself from criticism. RPB already did the dirty work, so I won’t repeat the obvious conclusion he drew. But, hey, it’s still better than your attempts at math.

I (like the great Hawk) thought that the "very talented" Mike Cameron would be a solid pro, if not star for the Sox.

2006 would be a repeat year.

Dodgers in 5, 6 at the most (two years in a row).

That someone other than Nas was going to be the loudest (early) agitator at last March's aborted Trump rally.

That Ryan Pace was a complete failure in waiting as GM who could never grow into the job. Ever. (He's not complete) :eye:

I've commented a bit on this in other threads. Do you at least see some signs that he can evaluate talent, the Glennon signing notwithstanding?

Cameron was a solid pro.

And even if he became a star, JERRY traded him for Paul Konerko.

The defense is proof that he can, below the radar, put together a collection of modest talents into a solid unit. Reaching back for Hicks appears to be a fabulous move, but that may be somebody else's projection from New Orleans and him sniffing around due to familiarity.

Dr. Ken, Dolphin & Seacrest (I believe) called Jordan Howard. I liked Floyd. And I think it's pretty well settled that he's started drafting complimentary pieces. Kevin White & (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky were his home run swings though, which doesn't appear to bode well.

Bryan Cranston wrote:
“President Trump is not the person who I wanted to be in that office, and I’ve been very open about that. That being said, he is the president,” the former “Breaking Bad” star — who once pledged to move out of the country if Trump won the White House — told The Hollywood Reporter.

“If he fails, the country is in jeopardy. It would be egotistical for anyone to say, ‘I hope he fails,’” Cranston, 61, explains. “To that person I would say, f--- you. Why would you want that? So you can be right?”

"I honestly do. … And if you’ve got a good idea that helps the country, oh man, I’m gonna support you.”

“I don’t care if you’re a Republican and I’m a Democrat or whatever, I don’t care. A good idea’s a good idea. Let’s do that,” Cranston said in the Monday interview. “We’ve got to get away from this idea that our country is political football, and someone with a different opinion is the enemy. Assume they love this country as much as you do, and there’s always room for improvement. How can we make it better?”

Wise words by BC. (the second one, especially the bold)
