Oh, please. Neither of you believe that hogwash.

The wealthy could always pay for their own protection.

I do indeed believe it to a great extent, but that doesn’t mean I’m advocating for anarchy or acting as though all laws are bad.

A law can protect all of us equally, without all of us have equal means.

Like dolphin aid, you don't really believe that hogwash. The wealthy have alarms, poorer neighborhoods have burglar bars.

You’re both entitled to your opinion, but I can assure you I believe it.

If anything, our system is built to supress the poor for the benefit of the middle class. You think the rich are worried about the poor getting a living wage and paying a higher percentage of taxes than anyone else?

Wait, what?

Our society is definitely set up (or has been bent into being) for the powerful to keep the power but I dont understand how your second sentence backs your first.

The rich will be rich regardless of how the poor are treated. Why do you think so many middle class people fight against livable wages, welfare, and tax reform to give poor people more?

I think the highlighted portion of my post is pretty self explanatory.

The original point is deeper than that. Is law itself designed to protect the powerful? No. The powerful have the ability to shield themselves from harm and in some natural state, it is the poor that live even more miserably.

The law is designed to protect the poor from each other (I'd accept the middle class as well).

The rich have power to change laws and policy to what benefits them, regardless.

The rich dont need the law for protection but they still use it and make new ones to benefit themselves.

So do the middle class. Money can only buy so many ads. The people still vote for candidates.

I don't see Dr. Ken leaving Kenilworth to rob the poor.

But i would agree that the rich do use abortion laws to try and limit the amount of poor people in this country.

Of course they do. Do you realize how many middle class people voted for Trump? Do you realize how many middle class people vote for these politicians that are supposedly bought for by the rich? They are doing that because they support the types of things those politicians want and do.

Ok, so your position is that the wealthy have no more power than the middle class.

I think that is absolutely insane.

The wealthy LOVE cheap labor. Those borders are non existent for a reason.

He's already robbed them. That's how he got to Kenilworth.

Correct. The point about theft is a perfect example. Do you really think theft laws benefit the poor or the wealthy? I'm not saying they shouldn't exist, but let's not kid ourselves as to who benefits more from them.

 How so?

The garage thing has been grossly exaggerated.

All I said was I was sitting in the garage while it rained, but now it's somehow become me sitting and watching the neighborhood children.

Rich people are a convenient villein.

I'd say people in the 80k-200k bracket are the real problem. Driving up the costs of homes, paying unreasonable sums for them, was the cause of the downturn in 2008, and it will happen again. We have been snookered by the 30 year mortgage loan, "hey, it's only another hundred bucks a month for 30k in price, sure!"

Didn't you also post about sitting in there and some kids threw a ball or something near the grass and said "Sorry sir" or something?
