Pay the man

I offered him weed and he turned it down and whispered "I really just need to eat, it's been days"

So I shoved him down to the ground and spit on him.

So tired of these lying scammers preying on people's good nature.

“Star Trek: Discovery” and “Rent” actor Anthony Rapp said in a report Sunday night that he was 14 years old when actor Kevin Spacey made a sexual advance toward him, the latest in a wave of sexual abuse accusations across Hollywood.

Rapp told Buzzfeed News that in 1986, Spacey, a fellow Broadway actor at the time, invited Rapp to his apartment for a party. Later in the evening, Spacey, then 26, allegedly “picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed, and climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance,” according to the report.

“He was trying to seduce me,” Rapp recalled. “I don’t know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”

Rapp recalled he pushed Spacey off of him, went to a bathroom and closed the door, thinking: “What is happening?” He told Spacey he had to go home, to which he allegedly asked if he was “sure” he wanted to do that.

A representative for Spacey did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

“I still to this day can’t wrap my head around so many aspects of it,” Rapp told Buzzfeed. “It’s just deeply confusing to me.”

Rapp, who came forward less than a month after accusations against mega-producer Harvey Weinstein led to his Hollywood downfall, said he decided to speak out “not to simply air a grievance … but to try to shine another light on the decades of behavior that have been allowed to continue because many people, including myself, being silent.”

He added: “I'm feeling really awake to the moment that we're living in, and I'm hopeful that this can make a difference.”

I know most people here cannot stand Fox News or believe their stories, but male actors being sexually harassed by other males should be getting more coverage than it has.

There have been a few rumors like that floating around about Spacey for awhile, mainly Reddit posts and comments on Gawker stories.

It's common knowledge Spacey is a pillow biter.

Being gay and forcing yourself on a fourteen year old are two completely different things.

Bryan Singer and Spacey throw underage twink parties. Kind of an open secret before this whole thing blew up.

Kevin Spacey would make a great NAMBLA spokesman.

The rumors around Spacey and pre-teen and teenage boys are not new. Family Guy even had a bit about it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVIU7iEVl58

Of course he's trying to save face by "coming out" now hoping that will be the story when in reality everyone already knew he was a burrito. Now we just also know he's a child molester too.

I have a feeling it will blow over. It shouldn't, but knowing how the MSM works, it will.

Pretty soon, the only movies we'll be able to watch in good conscience will be Hannity and Kirk Cameron movies.

My wife and I were just visiting some good friends in Kentucky. These friends are ostensibly very liberal. To the point where the wife asked us "how we are surviving" in the age of Donald Trump. Obviously you guys know from my posts here how wildly overwrought I think that is. I'm not going to get into political beefs with my friends, but I gently reminded her that the U.S. has been through a lot worse than Trump and whether the four of us liked it or not, a lot of people voted for this goon and their votes count too.

Anyway, I'm supposed to be the hard-hearted "Trumpet" according to many of you and probably to these friends if I were to express some of the thoughts on the subject that I have here. But when a panhandler hit us up for a couple of bucks and I started reaching in my pocket, my hard Left friend said, "No, that guy looks like he's capable of working." We were in his town, so I went along. But I think this is a good example of how the personal isn't the political and vice versa.

Another one:

Quote:
Michael Oreskes has resigned as chief of NPR's newsroom following accusations of sexual harassment that dated back to the 1990s.

Oreskes said in a statement Wednesday that he was deeply sorry to the people he hurt. He said: "my behavior was wrong and inexcusable, and I accept full responsibility."

He said he told Jarl Mohn, president and CEO of NPR, on Wednesday morning that he would step down. Earlier, Oreskes had been placed on leave and Mohn appointed Chris Turpin as the temporary news chief.

Two women had accused Oreskes of suddenly kissing them when they were discussing job prospects with him in the 1990s, when he was Washington bureau chief of The New York Times.

NPR reported Tuesday that Oreskes was formally rebuked following a separate incident two years ago where a female producer complained she was made to feel uncomfortable after a dinner in which Oreskes talked about sex and inquired about her personal life. The woman, Rebecca Hersher, said on the NPR report that "it undercut my confidence."

NPR said in a statement on Tuesday: "We take these kinds of allegations very seriously. If a concern is raised, we review the matter promptly and take appropriate steps as warranted to assure a safe, comfortable and productive work environment. As a matter of policy, we do not comment about personnel matters."

The women told the Post that they had met with Oreskes to talk about job prospects, while he ran the Times' Washington bureau, when he unexpectedly kissed them and stuck his tongue in their mouths.

Former Times editor Jill Abramson, Oreskes' Washington deputy at the time of the alleged incidents, confirmed to the AP that Oreskes paid extraordinary attention to a woman who worked as a news aide at the Times. Abramson told the Post she wished she had either told Oreskes to change his behavior or brought concerns to human resources. Abramson, now a senior lecturer at Harvard University, confirmed what she told the Post but had no further comment when reached by the AP.

Probably nothing more than short ugly guys, especially (((short ugly guys))), being more likely to get called on it.

High school friend's sister was working as an OR nurse. One of the surgeons was a constant abrasive a-hole to the nurses, all the nurses. The sister asked her brother, an attorney, to write a letter on behalf of all the OR nurses and they were all going to sign it and give it to the doctor. Her brother wrote up the letter. But then instead of having anyone sign it he gave her an unsigned, anonymized (no letterhead or signatures) version of it that delineated the doctor's general bad behavior and how detrimental it was to the working environment (an operating room, ffs). She then left the anonymous letter for the doctor to find. He must've found it and read it and realized he had no clue which nurse was behind it. As he straightened up and was overly nice after that, at least at that hospital.

I thought it a good way to send the message without resulting in any of the nurses being singled out by the doctor for retaliation.
