yeah, except it's not a job. jobs don't make you take an oath of poverty. though some should in all honesty.

I didn’t realize City of Fools was a priest.

Liken it to an oddball cult. A cult is not a job. Now you may go to a cult meeting at the cult campground and they may give you a tent. Still not a job.

You can be a member of the cult if you follow the rulez. (drink red kool aid or whatever). You don't have to be part of the cult but if you want to be a part of the cult you have to follow the cult rules. Now the cult could CHANGE the rules and the leader may attempt to do so. It is my prediction that it could accelerate the death spiral of the cult. That's fine. Just sharing my opinion. We will see.

I follow you and agree.

Under all the current rules, it would be difficult to support children.

Its just like saying a low paid McDonalds worker shouldnt have kids. But the McDonalds worker has a chance to make more. The priest doesn't. They'd have to change that somehow.

Priests literally get everything for free. They only pay for their cell phones and car payments.

Would that extend to everything for the kids? If so, cool.

Probably have to increase the food stipend - but priests get free food all week long from the parishioners. School would be free as long as they attended in the diocese. They still make $21K/year + weddings/baptisms/guest fees. So, basically, they have an extra $2000/month over living expenses to use for anything.

Tell 'em to skim off the top during the parish raffle. They'll never get caught!

You have to pay for prostitutes somehow...St. Bede has certainly had their share of fucked up priests. That guy was a real piece of shit and he doesn't even come close to Father Maday.
