Under all the current rules, it would be difficult to support children.


Its just like saying a low paid McDonalds worker shouldnt have kids. But the McDonalds worker has a chance to make more. The priest doesn't. They'd have to change that somehow.

Probably have to increase the food stipend - but priests get free food all week long from the parishioners. School would be free as long as they attended in the diocese. They still make $21K/year + weddings/baptisms/guest fees. So, basically, they have an extra $2000/month over living expenses to use for anything.
