First playoff ranking is tonight. This is pretty meaningless this early in the season, but I'll be curious to see whether Alabama or Georgia is number 1 and how Notre Dame/Clemson/Ohio State fare for the 2 remaining spots. Georgia has absolutely had a tougher schedule than Alabama and I see no real reason to put them at 2 besides the fact that everyone perceived Alabama as stronger coming into the season.

Bama's had a weak SEC schedule this year, and their non-conference opponents turned out to be underwhelming as well. I agree with having ND as # 3 (well, it could be Ohio State or Penn State), but it would be so Brian Kelly to see ND lose today. Don't think it will happen against ND's defense . . . which is really what impressed me about ND. Shocking to see a Kelly team with this defense (and strong running game).

So many papers to grade, and so much stress, but OK-OK State and ND coming on...my priorities suck.

On fs1. There are times I love the channel availability so there are tons of games but I miss the old cbs nbc abc days. Oh well, time marches on.

Kevin White's brother Ka'Raun just torched an Iowa St RS freshman CB for West Virginia. My Bears guy telling me that Pace is looking to trade up.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'll switch back and forth, but now with five games to watch, and it sort of ruins the main game you're watching....I bit the bullet and settled on OU-OK. State . . . who just gave up another touchdown. Goddamnit.

Ha! It's a barn-burner.

I'm an Ok. State fan, but I wish Gundy would coach some defense and get a bigger O and D line.

OU has scored TDs on five straight possessions.

And in terms of grading, I've given seven Ds in a row.

The speed on display at Bedlam is staggering. And northwestern is being the cardiac Cats again

We may have to get together for bowl/playoff games

I don’t know why I let the cats get me worked up but they do live up to their nickname.

No d in the first half (bedlam) then a sack fumble to the Sooners and 3 sacks in the ref zone for the Pokes.

Right. That’s my thought too. I guess I still see them as the Osborne era huskers.

Penn State shoots themselves in the foot repeatedly today. Questionable roughing the passer call on the final drive (regardless if it was questionable, they put themselves in the position to be called), ridiculous constant blitzing, and Barkley had 14 rushes. In a game that had terrible conditions. Instead, let's throw the ball 48 times.

Days like today make it tough to give a damn about Sunday football.

And I didn't get to start watching until 3pm.

And the double nickel for Iowa!

Desmond Howard partially called that this morning. But didn't have the stones to change his pick
