The sexcapades (alleged) will receive most of the attention but the more interesting aspect for me would be King's Marxist views. If he did in fact hold these particular views it would place him in line with a few of the more notable African American leaders of the period. There were a number of African American leaders that frankly found Marxism/Socialism to be appealing.

J.Edgar Hoover was alleged to have hated King. Hated the fact that King won a Nobel Peace Prize that he believed should have been awarded to himself. Hoover knew that the reverence that the country had for King would subside greatly if the dirt that he had on him would have been released. It burned the hell out of him that he wasn't allowed to release it as I remember.

Does this really surprise you? The Kennedy's were lady killers and had 10x more orgies and sexcapades as MLK. This is what these people do. And it still goes on today.

One of the black people in MLK's team was an undercover FBI agent reporting back to Hoover. I forgot his name but that's been confirmed many decades ago. I think you even see him standing besides the slain MLK in the photo where he's been shot dead.

Conspiracy angle fyi.... - so there's been a story in the conspiracy realm not just about who killed MLK, but how Jesse Jackson was involved. The same people who knocked off the Kennedy's knocked off MLK. Just like LHO and SS, James Earl Ray was a patsy. If you do the research you see the gov lies and lies again.

So the Jesse Jackson angle is that Hoover/deep state knew he was a very ambitious person and an opportunist in the civil rights movement. So they offered him defacto leadership of the civil rights movement/African Americans if he helped King get knocked off. Many say he took the deal and since MLK was slain, Jesse has been pretty much the face of civil rights for the last 40 years. But he's also been an inside guy for deep state taking orders from the elite.

I don't think Jesse had anything to do with it. Of course the Govt lies and lies again. The sexcapades stuff doesn't interest me. That was well known and King actually alluded to it during his sermons. He never admitted that he was an adulterer from what I know but he did admit to having a problem with the way people deified him. There was some other stuff in there which some have speculated was a subtle admission that he was in fact an adulterer. A guy getting some pussy is something to be resolved with his wife and his god. I'm sure his wife knew.

One of his mistresses was alleged to have lived in the Lake Meadows apartment complex.

His political views were of much more interest to me. As King evolved he was beginning to focus on economic issues. He was moving away from social justice. Poverty and the way to eradicate it were of utmost concern to him. Marxism correlated with that.

JFK's sex life didn't have an impact on his policy. MLK's sex life had no impact on civil rights. I agree it has nothing to do with their accomplishments. Every great man in history has a flaw or two. For those who attack these two men's character's on these infractions are nit picking in my opinion. Both their indiscretions did not affect their place in history.

I think that's what CH means--he was a leftist (as in very left, a communist or socialist) not just an American liberal. I've always read that MLK was about to go more public with a softer version of this and try to focus more on issues of social class before he was killed. (Not sure, though.)

He was in Memphis on behalf of striking streets/san workers. Of course, in today's world, he deserved to die because they should have been thankful they even HAD a job.
