I agree that what Louis did wasn’t nearly as detestable as some of the others (it’s not sexual assault), but I think some struggle with it because it’s so bizarre. I understand that’s not fair, but you have to admit it’s really weird and is hard to rank on the sexual deviant hierarchy. Personally, it’s even weirder because I always viewed him as a very normal, well-adjusted person.

Yeah, but it’s called being a mature adult. These behaviors should sicken you. My reservation about Takei is that the source just seems incredibly opportunistic and also sounds like he was playing the game with Takei too. We’ll never know.

I’ll go all Pat Robertson here and say that I have at least thought about how this promiscuous sexual culture that condones what most would call “anti-social” behaviors (at best) might be some of the fuel behind these things. I’m not saying it’s true, and there are certainly some weirdos in middle America, too, but there is a clear theme in Hollywood that probably warrants some discussion around all the potential contributing factors.

Maybe the Cleavers had it right.

Hope Solo told a Portuguese newspaper that former FIFA President Sepp Blatter sexually assaulted her at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony in 2013.

In an interview published Friday in the newspaper Expresso, Solo said Blatter grabbed her rear end shortly before the two appeared onstage at the annual soccer awards event.

A representative for Solo confirmed Friday to The Associated Press that the report was accurate and said the former goalkeeper for the U.S. women's national team had no further comment on the matter.

Blatter could not immediately be reached for comment by the AP, but the embattled former head of soccer's governing body told the Guardian newspaper: "This allegation is ridiculous."

Solo has been dogged by a number of off-the-field controversies. Notably, a domestic violence case stemming from a 2014 altercation at a family member's home in Washington state.

Solo anchored the U.S. team in goal during its 2015 Women's World Cup championship run, allowing just three goals in seven games with five shutouts during the tournament.

For her career, Solo has made 202 total appearances with the national team, with 153 wins and an international-record 102 shutouts.

Solo's tenure with the national team ended following last year's Olympics in Brazil, when the Americans were ousted by Sweden in the quarterfinals. Afterward, Solo called the Swedish team "cowards" for their defensive style of play.

She was suspended from the team shortly thereafter and has not returned.

Blatter was suspended from office and banned from soccer for six years following allegations of a widespread corruption scandal that came to light in 2015. Both U.S. and Swiss officials cooperated in the investigation, which is ongoing, and more than 40 people have been indicted.

Blatter has also had a history of what many consider to be sexist behavior concerning the women's game.

U.S. forward Alex Morgan has said that Blatter failed to recognize her at the annual award event in 2012, even though she was one of three nominees for the women's Player of the Year.

Blatter also famously argued in 2004 that players could boost the popularity of the women's game by wearing tighter shorts.

Sepp Blatter is possibly the most corrupt dude in the world, I wouldn't put anything past him.

This is where it really does get complicated, though. Takei presumably wasn’t using his stature to overpower them into it. If he was, that’s different.

When people have consensual sex, doesn’t it usually start with someone making the first move? If we hold people to the standards that they can never take a chance with a physical “move,” how the hell are sexual relations sussposed to work?

I’m just glad I’m married and don’t have to navigate these waters. If you get a bad read on someone else, it could wind up with very serious consequences nowadays... even if you stop the minute you realize they’re not interested.

Doesn't seem all that complicated to me, we just don't know if the accuser is telling the truth. If he is, it's textbook assault. You can't "make a move" on an unconscious person

Speaking of gay parades what is the point? It has always been my thought that the end goal of most gay people was to be what they were and accepted in society.
