I think it's 35 pounds. Maybe I'm wrong.

The standard box you get at Costco. It was cheap this year. Only $32. There were years it was well into the $40s.

I am cooking an 8 lb pork shoulder, and making tacos on Thanksgiving. Why do a ton of work to prepare and cook food (turkey and the fixings) that is just average?

Much like firing up the smoker, buying the meat is generally the cheapest part.

If you're going to the trouble to fire it up, one more turkey is just $15 and another beer or two (43 minutes).

I’m not deep frying a 22 pound turkey.

Keep it 13 pounds or under.

Well the European conquest of what is now Mexico was one of the worst genocides in history. And Mexicans are descendants of those indigenous peoples. So maybe it isn't cool for me to celebrate European domination of the continent with American Indian foods (chocolate mole).

I dunno I'm just askin.

Drunk history would also be a correct answer.

If you bash thanksgiving fixings you better come strapped. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, Mac and cheese, green bean casserole. Fight me. I'll go to war for my thanksgiving sides.

Thanksgiving is easily the second most overrated holiday in terms of food.
