They have a real DC but Dowell Loggins should be axed immediately after the game. 2 weeks to prepare and nothing but penalties and no clear game plan.

Ok. Now tell us where his foot was before he lost control of the ball.

It was in bounds. Then the ball came out. Then he landed out of bounds.

Exactly...couldn't figure out why they weren't calling one right away there.

Before the play is even snapped, Fox should be telling the ref that he is going to call time out immediately after the play is over. Then the ref should turn to him immediately after the play is over and Fox should be motioning and shouting timeout. This is not very difficult to execute.

Not difficult at all...very common as a matter of fact in my experiences.

Nope. You can just admit you're wrong -it's ok to be wrong- everyone makes mistakes. We won't judge you or anything.

Somebody needs to give the players some concessions in the money so they actually have to fucking practice in the summers, because the quality of the play is bad. Its a trade-off the league needs to make with the understand that they are going to lose fans with how bad the play is.

That and they need to cut down the size of crews. If there are cameras everywhere you dont need 5 refs. One ref watches the line and backfield, the other watches downfield in the secondary. Fewer eyes means fewer calls. It also saves the league a bunch of money I dont know why this hasn't been done. Is the refs union really that powerful?

They have 7 (Most DI college conferences have 8...). Five is what we use in high school in Illinois and with spread offenses that is asking a lot sometimes.

Maybe a 3rd by the coach so they can talk. but the NFL has cameras everywhere, the game is being watched from every angle arleady no need a bunch of guys out there all trying to throw flags.

"The refs always make the correct call" is an interesting thing to say.

Let's review. Toe was in bounds. The ball came out while he was still in the air. The ball hit the pylon, making it a touchback. He landed on the sideline without the ball. The call was wrong, and the review was correct.

I have a Bears' fan over here right now, and he agrees with me.

[img] *nonsense picture*

You were asked where his foot was. You said in bounds. I asked if you think that the sideline is in play, because that is where his foot actually was. The sideline, as in out of bounds, as in you are wrong.

So the Bears run it in 1st down all the time, then throw on 3rd and inches. Great coaching today.

Maybe the coaching staff could help the kid out a bit and variate from the run, run, pass pattern.

It is very easy to guess what the Bears are going to do on offense. They will run the ball until they are forced to pass. Its not a recipe for success.

Wrong.Toe dragged the white of the sideline before he dove for the pylon.

Then why did they call it a touchback? The refs must have it out for the Bears.

For any future responses, this has nothing to do with the catch rule, so Zack Miller, Dez Bryant, or Calvin Johnson is not an acceptable answer.

It did set up the playaction to Shaheen... maybe a few more playaction calls on first down would help.

Every single objective observer on Twitter agrees it was a blown call.
