That scene with Rick and Daryl chasing the truck has to be the worst scene ever. The guy in the back of the truck fires tons of shots with an automatic weapon at Rick and of course misses every time, except for hitting the radiator, which for some reason has no effect on the Jeep, which continues to drive like nothing happened. Daryl speeds up on the bike, and fires one perfect shot with a hand gun, killing the shooter in the back of the truck. Rick then executes a move only possible in the Dukes of Hazzard or a cartoon, and manages to jump out of the moving Jeep into the other truck, stabbing the driver, who had a gun but wasn't shooting at Rick for some reason. The truck crashes over the embankment, and falls down a hill, which Rick escapes without injury. A minute later, Daryl rides up to the scene of the crash, even though he was just right behind the truck at the time of the crash.

Never mind Ezekiel and Carol making unbelievable escapes, too. The writers are just trolling the remaining viewers at this point.

The biggest bullshit was how they get that huge gun set up perfectly and firing so fast before being shot.

Also, with .50 caliber bullets, it would wreak terrible damage on that truck. probably 1 or two hits would disable the vehicle - those are anti-aircraft/anti-armored vehicle rounds.

Thirdly, if she was trying to prevent the weapons' movement, why didn't carol just drop under the truck she was taking cover behind and shoot out their tires?

It was Fast and Furious meets The Walking Dead. That episode was completely out of character with the series. I kind of liked it as just a fun battle day

Great episode! Nice to see the show make a little comeback after the last 2 weeks.

Next week should be really interesting as we get to see what is going on at Savior HQ. I wouldn't be surprised if Gabriel lays the groundwork for Negan's eventual change of heart with their episode long conversation in the camper.

I think it is setting up that both sides see that this war will result in both of their destruction should it continue. Negan liked the life Alexandria. I think he would have loved to have stayed. Now that so many of his people have been eliminated, he sees an opportunity for a different way to exist.

Funny of Die's the most ridiculous things from this week's walking dead is way more entertaining than the show and you can still follow the story.

There was a strong country rapist vibe emanating from him.

Not a bad episode. Solid B.

I still need to figure out how Eugene pieced together the blood and Dwight. Need a rewatch on that.

Wasn't blood. Was the paint on the chess pieces in Dwight's room.

Always here to help.

You're right it wasn't a bad episode. I was fearful for a minute we were gonna get an entire flashback episode but thankfully that was only a little while.

I liked the Negan-Gabriel stuff most, and I never thought that'd happen.

I thought she was holding her kid at the end.

Then I realized that's probably Rick's kid.

Then I realized I thought too deep into this show and stopped caring.

I think it was the kid that Rick found when he raided the outpost with Darrel looking for the guns.

Naked trash peoples.

So...the helicopter from an episode or two ago, did I hallucinate that?

No. Supposedly "very important" according to Gimple.

Who knows if it pays off in any meaningful way.

Maybe that's how they'll carry Morgan off to his new show.

I suppose that is another scene showed out of chronological order this year.

I only watched the first season of that other show but isn't it about 5 years ago from TWD timeline? Are they now contemporaneous?

There's no way Morgan was in Texas soon after the outbreak.

Same. Only watched season 1 so I have no idea how that will work out.

They're bringing in Dharma as well so maybe things changed and they are in the same time now.

I didn't think it was as bad as most of you, but the bar on this show has been significantly lowered this season. I thought the
last couple of episodes were some of the better ones, if for no other reason there was actually some moving forward of the plot.
I hope they can have a couple strong episodes before the winter break. Was surprised to hear that Morgan would be the
character to link the two series and no idea about how that will work or the timeline involved. The helicopter could be a big
part of that as mentioned earlier. I don't really see the need to connect them personally but whatever....

If anyone, I would think that old coot with the RV would be crossover character

I can't believe they are resisting the urge to bring back a deceased fan favorite like that.

I disagree.

There's a gap of a couple years where nobody knows where Morgan was. Him and Rick drift apart after the pilot, and they don't reunite until the "Clear" episode (one of the best episodes of the series IMO). We'll probably get to see a little more of Morgan's backstory and how he devolved into the crazy dude we saw in Clear.
