I have never watched an episode of the Sopranos. Any of you care to fill me in?

Well, if that's it, then this episode sucked balls.

Why would you not post spoilers in this thread? I mean it says Spoilers in the title.

Just being funny, KD. I like to do that without the

My bad, if you had just said this thread I would have guessed it was sarcasm, but when you said other threads it threw me off.

That being said it was a great ending. The debate of if Tony got whacked as the picture went black will go on forever, or until they make a movie.

So I just finished this up recently. Tony's dead, right? The pattern of POV shots at the end seems to suggest that, as does deliberately ensuring everyone sees the jacket dude enter a bathroom behind Tony.

Yes, the consensus is that he was killed. I believe Tony and Bobby had also talked/speculated in the previous episode about how when it happens (getting shot in the head), you don't feel it. Which would be the ending with the cut to black.

I don't agree w/ the murderer theory at the end of the video but the explanation for the final scene is pretty good.

As for who ordered the hit, I think it was Eugene's wife.

That's very astute of you to pick up on the sequence of shots right off the bat.

Also, the choice of the Little Feat song on the jukebox doesn't seem random at all. I'm not sure if they ever even get to the chorus but Tony previously came close to dying twice, so I think, "I've been down, but not like this before" is really saying something.

Bobby actually says "it all goes black"

Well to be honest my first thought was how the hell does my electricity cut out at the very end of this show. I guess that was a common thought ten years ago when this aired, based on what I've read. I had to rewatch the final scene after that. I'm satisfied with it. Everything else has been done before so this seems unique (or maybe it was unique at the time).

Yeah, I remember hearing about how everyone hated the Sopranos finale, especially the final scene. I watched the show several years after it was off the air, and I actually was quite pleased with the end. And after comparing it to so many other shows' awful finales (Dexter, Lost), it actually holds up even better.

Reminds me of my reworked Breaking Bad ending. Walt and Jesse drive off into the sunset, blaring Lou Gramm’s “Midnight Blue.”

What's that? Some fan edited ending?

I remember the joking one where he wakes up in bed with the mom from Malcolm in the Middle.
