Everyone is comparing Alabama to Ohio State last year but I think that comparison falls flat since a)Ohio State had a much tougher schedule that year and was widely regarded as the second best team in the country and b)Ohio State getting in screwed over their own conference champion, not the winner of another conference.

The better comparison to Alabama this year is the Ohio State team that got left out in 2015. Both teams suffered single losses late in the season that kept them from even participating in their conference championship games.

When I was in the hospital all the therapists were from The OSU or Madison, except one, who happened to be a recent Clemson cheerleader. She was so hot and we talked so much football that I'll probably be a Clemson fan for life.

It'd be a tough sell. Ohio State will have beaten Penn State, Michigan State and Wisconsin who are all three probably better than Alabama's only quality win home against LSU.

If Alabama bothered to play any decent teams this year and Auburn shellacked Georgia there might be an argument for Alabama, but neither of those things happened so they have to be out. The only reason anyone is still talking about this because they are Alabama, any other team (except maybe OSU who always seems to sneak in) and its not even a discussion.
