There's this place inside the gas station at Gary and Geneva - guess that corner is Wheaton. Urban Bean Counter or something like that. Fairly busy - opens at six for breakfast. Ordered a rare burger yesterday and it was quite good. Fries were okay too.

For real. They're bland, damp, and starchy. You'd think Wisconsinites could master fried food but Culver's has a giant blind spot for fries.

It’s a clever move to get you to spend extra for the curds. Their onion rings are all right for fast food too.

Will do.

I went to Portillos for the first time in probably 2 years. The food was alright. Got a beef. I have no idea why the place so popular.

Jorr has them correct. Portillo's is a 'baseline beef.' Anything good is very, very good. Anything worse is pretty terrible. Portillo's is fine and consistent.

Sonic has the worst burgers. Flavorless and limpy. Actually most of their food sucks and their commercials.

there's never been one around me close enough to justify trying it. i've never had it but i've heard it's not worth the effort.

i do like having a meatheads around me though. that place is very generous with fries and their burgers are pretty good.

The buns that they use don't even taste like bread. I don't know what is going on there. The onion rings are flavorless.

Sonic sucks.

When they put the one in Aurora near the Super Wal-Mart there was a line around the building. So many suckers.

Orange Julius? What the Christ? They used to have one of them at Ford City and it sucked.

They just opened a Checkers around here. Those are good burgers.

In terms of employee attractiveness, I will have to go with Starbucks.

Honesty? You want honesty? Alright, honestly, I think you're nothing. Nothing but a pure waste of God-given talent. You don't listen to nobody, man! Not even Doc or Boone! Shiver push on the line every time and you blow right past 'em! Push 'em, pull 'em, do something! You can't run over everybody in this league, and every time you do you leave one of your teammates hanging out to dry, me in particular!

Culvers has more to offer than all the chains listed in this thread. Butterburgers, frozen custard, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, soup, chili, reuben sandwiches, tenderloin sandwiches, pot roast sandwiches, Culver's brand root beer, shrimp, fish and the list goes on. With the exception of Oberweis Culver's has better dessert offerings that every restaurant listed in this thread. The service is not fast because the food is cooked to order.

Beardown: One pot roast sandwich dinner plate, my good man.

Culvers Cashier: Very well, that will be $10.40.

Beardown whips out the Visa.

Culvers Cashier: Take this number to your table and we'll bring the food out to you. Should be ready in about 4 hours.

Beardown:

Culvers Cashier: Sir, we cook everything to order.

Drake LaRrieta:
