Meh I would rather have on Its a Wonderful Life.

Well, when TBS starts 24 hours of Its a Wonderful Life you can have at it.

What's the difference? It's cold outside for both. Besides, I celebrate Festivus.

It is an important distinction because there really aren’t any good Thanksgiving movies.

I caught this on accident once and actually enjoyed it.. Some of that has to do with my Tea Leoni fandom that stretches back to flying blind. Which, I have zero recollection of besides me friend telling me I had to see this woman on this show on fox back in 92.

I know it’s not technically a movie but Pee-Wee Herman’s Christmas Special is great. Guest stars in 1988 included Magic Johnson, Oprah, Charo, Frankie and Annette, a freakie Grace Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Dinah Shore, K.D. Lang, Little Richard, Cher, Zsa Zsa, Lawrence Fishburne (as Cowboy Curtis) and the best part...the Del Rubio Triplettes. A few off color jokes were slipped in as well (Floory’s. invite to Miss Evonne). It’s like the Love Boat on acid.

I am not a movie guy. I would rather watch The Godfather for the 10,000th time than watch a new movie. Coupled with my thoughts on the Winter holidays, perhaps I am not the best person to contribute to this thread.

It's a Wonderful Life is one of the best films ever made. Who doesn't love Donna Reid?

George C. Scott did a fine job in the '84 adaptation of Dicken's Christmas Carol.

Pretty good calls here. Christmas Story, Bad Santa and the like are good and funny. They are not what I think of as Christmas classics though deserving of top of the list ratings.

My family had me watch Elf for the first time over Thanksgiving. I don't get the love for that one. I thought it was one of the dumbest
movies I have ever seen. I laughed one time the entire movie.

Getting beat over the head with a crowbar is just as soothing as watching this movie.

My comfort for watching it is usually around 3 am on Christmas eve after I have gotten home from my second party and the presents are in place. I'm exhausted but not sleepy and I flip it on for half an hour or so. It just feels right.

Like I said, both holidays are pretty much the same thing to me. It's cold outside, you see your extended family, and you eat dinner early.

When I get home on Christmas Eve I put on the mass at St. Peter's Basilica. I'm not Catholic, or even very religious for that matter, but it just is soothing to hear and watch for a little while.

I wish that I enjoyed the holiday season as much as others, but I just don't. Watching the kids opening up their presents is great, but you can keep the rest of it.

That's a bit harsh. I'm not shitting on anybody who does love the holidays.

Listen to Bing Crosby and drink beer with nutmeg in it. I don't care.
