I think his bullshit vigilante stories of following evildoers down and confronting them with his "you don't want any of this" are probably the most troubling.

this is bullshit.

Would you feel that way if a government official in a different role was as openly hateful of white people as Pat is? Cop, DA, Judge, court clerk?

Yes. But he's not.

Still a government employee who has the power to ruin peoples lives with impunity.

You know how many firefighters I know who use the N-word constantly but still risk serious injury in fighting fires for mostly blacks? (Well, three, but I think that's all the firemen I know well.) My point? It doesn't affect his job.

Let's not be SJWs about this. This is what a miserable SJW would do. We could try to talk to the man if we really feel strongly about this.

Except a court clerk has more of an ability to arbitrarily impact your life than a firefighter.

What's more, they aren't tasked by the government to investigate and report on people's lives to the extent that such reports will impact custody of children and, perhaps, other criminal prosecution.

This is an honest question because I don't know: Would Pat's testimony in court be given extra weight because of his profession? Are his words in court inherently treated as more worthy than those of a parent or guardian, at least as it pertains to a narrow issue?

firefighters investigate routinely, though perhaps not on matters of child custody.

But here's the deal: any way you slice it, you're trying to justify the fact that you're not an SJW. You clearly are one. "I don't like what you say; Ima tell on you."

You're just as bad as the fat dyke with purple hair who screeches at someone for wearing an Atlanta Braves hat.

How triggered can you be? Isn't this what you're against?

He's a glorified note taker. Have any of you interacted with a DCFS caseworker?

Do you mean because of a possible propensity for violence or for a propensity for telling really bad lies? Either way, he's a needy one.

Yes. It's a lot of sitting in a cramped, mustard-yellow office and listening to them type. Occasionally, they'll ask a question or mutter something to themselves about how the system is down.

Yes. And ones that are any good move on and find a real job pretty fast. To be his age and still just a caseworker says something.

It would be remarkably shitty, though, if someone on the board intentionally went about trying to get the guy fired--and then claim xie is doing a public service. That's bad faith, baby.

meh - who cares how it happens. Personally, I wouldn't participate in that, but can understand why others would.

Well that clearly cuts both ways.

If we’re gonna cry for every person who gets fired for being an incendiary asshole online...

We’re gonna need a bigger tissue box.

Do you think I'm crying for this guy?

I've literally said it several times. It's not about that jack ass.

The let's get em fired thing is just bad on it's own.

It's his fault, he deserves no sympathy. Still lame to do it.

Then can we agree that such a position shouldn't be had by an explicit racist? Why is this so controversial?

I agree with it being lame to do it. But anything beyond that I think can rightly be called hysteria. There’s a lot of over the top hand wringing about this.

Edit: to answer your first question, yes a little bit. Seems like it anyway.

I don't know the answer, it was an honest question: Would Pat be treated as an expert witness or would his testimony be given more weight than would a kids parent?

You are a lawyer. You know how to pick apart credibility of a witness.

He would start to become a liability if everything he wrote on Twitter were known.

Is it racist for white people to hate on white people? Or is that some other word? (I'm literally asking.) It seems more like an underlying psychological condition, but it also seems racist in its implications.

What is Franky basing this on? Maybe you should ask him.

Because a DCFS investigator would likely be viewed by the trier of fact as acting solely in the best interest of the child and having less bias than say the mother, or other family member, and thus his testimony would be given greater weight.

OK, so it's probably better that such a position not be filled by someone who openly hates people of a certain race

You're just as bad as the fat dyke with purple hair who screeches at someone for wearing an Atlanta Braves hat.

How triggered can you be? Isn't this what you're against?

 A bad equivalency (taking someone's children away because of the color of their skin, or getting ANYWHERE close to that, versus caricatures is so well beneath you I'm shocked) with a tu quoque. Do better.

You know it's true!!!

Look, the guy's a small-minded jag, but if someone here did it, he's even worse. Plus, it's gonna boomerang on us at some point if we start doing this.

I didn't pull the pin on this grenade, but I'm also not going to shed a tear when and if it goes off. Unless his open disdain for white people is a bit to get women on twitter to respond to him (which might be the case, and if it is he should say so and I'll go back to not wanting him to lose his job), that guy shouldn't be in the position he is in.

Most likely it would.

Then can we agree that such a position shouldn't be had by an explicit racist? Why is this so controversial?

Is it racist for white people to hate on white people? Or is that some other word? (I'm literally asking.) It seems more like an underlying psychological condition, but it also seems racist in its implications.

QCP is a jackass extraordinaire.

Well I'm probably operating with a different definition of "racism" than what is popular nowadays. I define "racism" as treating someone differently—usually negatively—because of the color of their skin, and but for that skin color or perceived racial/ethnic background, they would be treated differently, even less harshly. Using that definition, the race of the supposed racist is irrelevant, and it also has the bonus of sidestepping the "+power" bullshit that's cropped up in the last 5 years or so.

I suppose if he kills himself over this it'll be worth it.
