Hendricks no.

Russell and Monty yes. Even throw Wilson in.

We still have Duensing right?

Beggars can't be choosers .... which is why the Coob are very choosy.

I’ll sit back and wait for the mark burlhe fan club to destroy you for your bad observation

Career winning % of 64 exceeds both mark (59) and Chris sale (62)

Worst sports thought of the day so far. That’s what I get for not logging in and seeing the troll’s post.

Career 2.94 ERA and last year was 3.03 and he is regressing?

He is a great #2 at worst.

I'll remember this later that you think 27 year old Starting pitchers with sub 3 eras ansd 630 winning pct are not an asset worth holding.

Can't wait to compare Hendricks to all your favorite Sox pitchers going forward.

#MeToo.

A high IQ low effort pitcher that knows how to pitch. He has to be among the lowest injury risk pitchers in baseball. He almost an automatic hang up.

He game six against the Dodgers is the most underrated post season performance there is. Pitched the minimum number of batters to close out a team on the road. #stud.

Agreed but not on road.

Although he did pitch well in Game 7 in CLE

The O's wanted young controllable starters which makes sense because they can't develop any of their own. I don't think a 28 yr old with 3 controllable years is what they were looking for.

I would trade just about anyone, one on one, for a Manny Machado locked in long term, except for Eloy. Only a fool would trade Eloy

Russell and Monty for a contractually extended Machado. Take it or enjoy your draft pick next year.

Who would give up a #2-3 starter who pitches once a week for a top 5-10 player in his prime years?

Manny Macado locked in is not available.

We're talking one year.

No, from the very beginning I was pretty specific.

Ive been reading up on the guy and it sounds like everyone is saying he's going to sign w/ the Yankees next year. It's almost a sure thing. If we trade him for just one year forget it.

But...that's what it'll be...so why even discuss Machado? No one wants a one year rental at the price demanded.

War

13.2 over 3.5 years including 8.5 the last two years combined.

That's not a 3

The way the market has stagnated, it seems more and more likely that prices will go down on guys like Arietta and Darvish as well as Cobb. I want Arietta because he produces when the chips are all on the table. Sure 14-10 with a 3.53 (last year) was nothing special. Cobb or Darvish could each exceed those numbers. But when it comes time to pitch the Wild card game VS the Pirates, he dominated a complete game masterpiece. He was the guy to win half of the games in the 2016 title series VS the Indians. He pitched a very good ballgame against the Dodgers when their backs were against the wall, for their only victory in the NLCS in 2017. The guy is special. He has the stuff needed to win in big spots, not just compiling good numbers in a regular season, like a Darvish and then crapping the bed. I hope this soft market winds up helping the Cubs to retain him.

I love arrieta but i don't love a 5 inning 100 pitch arrieta. I don't think you are fixing that.

He went more than 5 innings in 22 starts. He went 6 or more in 19 starts.
