I love the weird-ass start times we get when the Canadian television contract dictates the terms of even their road games.

Love these start times. They'll get us back though with 8:30 playoff start times. Granted, this year looks like we won't have to worry about it.

With a 2pm start, I thought about surprising my dad and taking him to today's game. He enjoys watching hockey on his little 27" TV which he says is big enough, even though he doesn't really understand much of what's going on with regards to the rules. Plus my cousin bartends in one of the 300 corners, so that would have been cool for my dad to see him.

Tickets were $82 each on stubhub for 4th row from the top in the corner.

Pass. We'll watch on TV from our respective homes, instead, and I'll use that $250 after parking and food on something else for him. If I had bought the tickets, and he had found out I had paid $82/pop, he'd have throttled me as he doesn't spend $164 in an entire month.

I don’t know which garbage heaps were playing most of the year up here ahead of Hinostroza but that’s terrible talent evalauation by the coaches .

No dman to QB, no blueline shot, and nobody that stands in front of the net consistently. Keith is awful on the PP. Can't enter, inaccurate shot, and is so damn indecisive. Then you have guys like Schmaltz and to a lesser extent Kane who too often look for the perfect play and the extra pass. Coaching definitely plays a role but the Hawks don't have personnel that relates to an elite PP.

Is there anyone who is a veteran for whom there would be a trade partner if Bowman realizes that Crawford will be out too long for them to make the playoffs?

Nobody wants a Seabrook or a Sharp for free even if the Hawks added a prospect. Anisimov if he gets uninjured? Could they move Keith to a desperate contender?

No way that Rocky allows either 88 or 19 to go.

Basically just Tanner Kero, who was supposed to be the new Marcus Kruger but wasn't making it as a defensive specialist. Lance Bouma has picked up a couple points but he's never struck me as doing much to earn them. I understand if they thought Hinostroza was redundant with DeBrincat up but they still should have found a way to make the most of his skillset earlier than they did.

LOL- "Ruuts, Kaner, Harts, Schmaltzie" and that was in 30s of an interview.

Vinny on the top line has really opened things up for 19 and 20

Dare we hope Q won't tinker with this, and Toews might finally be revived?

Mac brought up trading Toews or consider moving him to a wing to lessen the amount of ice he has cover...are either of these possible?

No one will take his salary and Bowman / Rocky wont trade him anyway. So no.

With the demise of Soup and a Sandwich, maybe Fixing Jonathan Toews can be the Hawks' new hit webseries, where Rocky builds Toews a personal gym only for him to mumble "uhhhh hyah but we can't lift global warming" between bong rips.

Franson on waivers, Hayden to Rockford, Jurco to the Blackhawks. Now that's the flailing of a 11th place team.

What the fuck does Jurco bring to the team that Hayden isn’t ?

To be fair, Hayden's had his head up his ass for weeks. We need him to be a two-way power forward, but he's just hitting people and starting fights. Jurco has been scoring in the American league as of late but I think we know that Jurco is a Quadruple-A player and can't be expected to contribute for more than a few spot starts.

This. If Hayden was going to be a healthy scratch for a while, then he needs to go to Rockford and play consistent shifts and work on what Q tells him to work on. Nobody gives a shit if Jurco is a healthy scratch.

I think Hayden is going to be playing center in Rockford and working on his draws.
